Yep, cyans are still popping in your area. I know people from the Seattle / Olympia area still finding them.

Not salty at all.  You asked a question and I gave the quickest answer I could, maybe you missed that post.

There's two other recent cyan finds on this page as well.

You're in one of the best little towns for finding them, get out there and sniff about some chips.

Didn’t miss the post, but thanks anyway!

Thanks dude! I don’t have any friends that hunt so this place is my only source for reliable info. Much appreciated!

To be fair, some of the recent chills seem to have killed off some beds.

Have you ever been out to the coast to pick in the dune grass?  It's been a great year for it.

No, I haven't been able to make it out there yet.  But I am hoping to find a day to get away and spend some time exploring/hunting/and hopefully picking.

I'm also starting to grow some Cyans myself for a bed that I will be planting at my house... So hopefully that works and produces some fruits next fall.  Regardless, it has been a really fun hobby thus far.  :mushroom2:

Wdym by confronted?

I will say though that the park rangers in OR didn't seem to care about all the mushroom hunters at a popular picking place I visited, even the ones doing it out in the open. They obviously knew what was going on but didn't bust or bother a single person while I was there.

That park holds forays and will help you to identify your finds.

Decriminalization doesn’t matter.  You can still get nailed for manufacture and intent to distribute, as well as a possible criminal trespass.

Make sure to know and understand the laws before challenging on them.  Decriminalized DOES NOT mean legal.

What do you do with all the mushrooms you plan to harvest there? Just take them all before leaving, fly with them?

This is something I've seen a lot of people misunderstand, thinking that decriminalization means they can legally grow them, pick them, etc. when in reality it only means that possession of a small amount will get you fined instead of arrested.

And they take your shit.  Remember last year reading about how clackamas county had to deal with lots of people thinking they could just pick mushrooms in the park and think they wouldn’t get in any trouble.
This little cluster just looks better every day, slow tho.

Right into the compost where they can safely decay and not endanger anyone.

Community service really.

Well… I went to Westport on a whim and found my first azzies!

Founds some non-actives but picked those too.  I can’t seem to upload photos correctly here so here are links (for science, of course):

Just make sure you positively ID each mushroom before consuming. Like you said, for whatever reason, you definitely picked some of the wrong stuff too. Don't get em mixed up.

Congrats on your first azzies! You do have some lookalikes in there though. I recommend making a separate post so you can get those sorted out.

Here’s a new picture with the impostors (I think) with red scribbles. The others all bruised blue and appear to be azzies (to me).
