Ok, that makes more sense, thank you. I'm gonna read up on D3monic's TEK right now. I'm about to make some of Pasty's Agar plates for the firs time this weekend, so I'm glad someone pointed me toward a transfer TEK. Hadn't even considered that.

The best pics of these 2nd transfers I can get atm. Would appreciate any opinions on if these seem healthy and whether I should be worried about the satellite colony / take more xfers before going to grain.

This 2nd transfer from an in vitro pin clone has also thrown a couple of in vitro pins. I had taken a transfer and rewrapped it in my SAB. So I guess I have a reliable agar pinner. Would you also clone these guys or not do clones of clones. Also, these are not technically as pristine since I have opened and rewrapped the plate. Thoughts?



The first pin was from multispore T1 of Golden Teacher.

Hell no that doesn't look normal. How in the hell? I'd take a very small piece from the edge of that rhizo chunk sticking out just after 12 o'clock and transfer it to another plate. What agar recipe did you use? That's some very interesting growth.

Well, damn. You gonna continue that test to collect more data points or use somethin else? Ive been using D3's tek with a bit less LME and Agar. I've been satisfied with the results.
