How do you guys get these nice pics off your scope? I can't even fit a petri plate between the lens and the base of mine... lol

Took mine off the base and put the scope against the lid of the petri and dialed in the image. Mine is just a $25 hunk of junk I think mostly used for viewing jewelry.

These were with a MD500 with a standard binocular microscope at 1600 through the lid of the dish. The pictures are never as good as what the eye sees.



A setup like this is around $300 USD.

Here’s some clone plates At 5 days. •idk if the plate with a full fruit in it is a clone tho since the spores from the cap?

Been trying to put that agar work in. Made like 92 plates the other day Here’s a few .

Hey guys, if using water agar should you transfer a slightly larger wedge. The idea being to provide more nutrition for the myc to run across the WA. I usually try to keep them very small

Exactly what I said. I scroll to the comment box and type whatever stupid bullshit I feel like I need to add. You'd be surprised at how oblivious I am in real life, constantly walking in and out of rooms because I forget shit or can't find something that's right in front of me.

I made some agar plates from a grain jar I had, no visible contamination but the mycelium is very wispy. Anyone else seen this on agar before, it just looks a little off🤷‍♂️ It is cube mycelium
