You're gonna absolutely love it! I went from having to psyche myself up a bit to do my agar work to it becoming something I look forward to doing most of the time. I still get lazy though just be sure you have a sturdy table to put it on. They're heavier than you would think. The table I got for mine has started to bow over time making pouring level plates a little more difficult. I started putting the folded plastic sleeve that comes with the plates under the low side to level them out until I can find a sturdier table or one I can reinforce.
OP I would hold off on bags for the moment. Shaper made some excellent points. I would either wait until you can get a flow hood(big investment so could be a while) or until you get your agar skills down and have some experience producing clean cultures so you can try LC'S. Trying to make an LC without a clean agar culture will pretty much always end in failure. In short you can't go spores to agar. LC's are very unforgiving. However if you can master them you can just inject the bags directly and place MP tape over the hole when done. Or even better get the bags with the injection ports built in and you don't have to worry about the bag pulling in contams through the hole while you go to tape it.
