multi BRF cake casing

I have been reading a bunch about strain isolation with rye, etc, and although I am not yet readyto try grain, I am going to case for the first time in a few days. I have 6 BRF cakes of EQ, and I was planning to make three 2-cake casings. Will this work? Or will the mycelium from one cake overrun the other and essentially waste the other cakes worth of mycelium? Would I be better off with 6 individual casings?

As long as they're the same strain, you should have no problem.

the more cakes you use the more nutrients you will provide for the mushrooms.
