Can I use brf cakes for wheat straw

Can I use brf cakes insted of rye in my bulk wheat straw,and will I get the same results.

Don't know about the results, but you can use colonized brf cakes (crumbled or blended) with your straw.

According to TMC, you are able to use just about anything for spawn production.

As long as you have substrate, your results should be just as good. Starw is a great simple bulking tool.:)bluhoney

AFOAF has tried this and it definitely works. She used BRF cakes and followed the ShroomGod Straw tek (which can be found on this site) to get some nice flushes. One point to remember - to get the kind of yields referred to in the tek and elsewhere, you need to use quite a deep layer of straw. My friend used only about an inch and a half: although she still got some good results, the yields were not amazing.
