Phish beat me to it and now has the Official Ovoid thread

phishhead said:

So last year I found my first ovoids in downtown atlanta on a job I wazs working on> I dug up a bunch of mycelium and transplanted it to a wood chipped area on the side of my house where I also have caerulescens transplanted as well. This morning I woke up and checked the two spots I transplanted them and both are fruiting! Feels awesome to transplant and have them come back.

So I’ll go ahead and start the Georgia 2019 Actives thread.

Habitat:

Found these about a half a mile from fellow shroomerite Breeg’s spot. Stepped back a bit to take the habitat print and then couldn’t find these fruits again for the life of me. I’m not saying they hid when I took my eyes off them but I’m not not saying it either. And I can’t fucking find them again... it’s nuts.

I finally fucking found ovoids today!!!!! Couldn’t be more pleased. Huge thanks to Breeg for putting me on them. After having sat in the habitat for awhile I feel confident I can find them again.

It’s on, my guys!

I would think they are probably a little more widespread than we think, not a lot of people know about them, most people down South only know about psilocybe cubensis and look for nothing else, I have only met a handful of people from this part of the world that even know about woodloving Psilocybe.

New spot new spot, these are from Gwinnett county.

These were much bigger than the first few I found. GA folk need to get out and find your low lying creeks. Then find a big log somewhere adjacent and the whole pile of debris and shit that has washed up against it on either side. I call them “log armpits”. So far I have actually only called them that in my head but now I’m sharing it apparently. Find you a few log armpits and you might get some of these fellas.

Anyone know if there's an active thread for the Arkansas/Missouri area or one that covers it?
