Some Love From South Georgia

I checked the location I found these in towards the end of last year and just knew it would produce the front we just had got it PoP N I was smiling ear to ear when i found the first set...I Thumped Every Cap And Left Tons Of Fruit Ill Give It Another Two Days So They Mature A Bit Better There Is Still A Lot Of Youngins Sipping Their Bottles :mushroom2:

P.S. apologies to the the youngest cube with the pin i thumped it but pulled it as well im going to try and tranfer it to a horse pasture thats close

Beautiful finds! I find that when its cooler at night cubes grow more dense and lower to grass/ground like what you've got above! Those look nice and potent judging by thickness! At first I thought pan paps but usually on paps you have a reddish stem. Im wondering if they're cinctulus...

Nah man the others are pan papilionaceus. Lovely finds though! Got me excited for this season haha.

Found more ovoids today at a third new spot. Seeing tons of Lacrymaria lacrymabunda today also, and you know what that means....

I'm Gonna Check Back At The Neighborhood I Found The Agrocybes In For Weilli I Can't Explain How Different The Whole Environment Was It's Not a Typical Type Area For Augusta The Clay Is Actual Redclay Instead Of The Sandy Redclay We Have I Believe That Is The Main Reason They Won't Fruit Here I've Heard They Don't Like Sand And I Dont Typically Find Agrocybes Around Here Either But They Seem To Grow In The Northern Areas...The Whole Neighboorhood Started Getting Developed And Came To a Halt And Just Sat For Years And Now Someone Has Bought It And Theres Alot Of Construction Going On Huges Hills Of Redclay Smallers Pines At The Tops Feeding Them Baby Sweetgums And Pine On The Hills And Briar Foilage Even The Creek Was Different It Had A Tropical Feel Walking It I Had A Racing Heart Allday Out There Just A Feeling That It's The Area I'm Gonna Put Georgia On The Map With...But North Georgia Is Gonna Be Getting Some Big Loves From Me This Year And To All My Upstate Shroomerites May The Weilli Godz Be With Us...Good Luck On Your Hunts And Stay Safe :cool:

So, I haven’t done a good job keeping this thread updated with my ovoid finds bc I’m putting them in the 2019 ovoid thread but I realize some of the younglings might not know to follow that as well so for the archival passage of knowledge in the GA threads, I’m going to try to do better updating both even though it kinda makes me feel like an attention whore. But I now have three different locations, two of which have multiple areas of finds. The commonality between the spots is a sandy creek that floods often. You’re probably going to get muddy when you’re hunting ovoids, and it’s an annoying, fine, sticky, silty, top coat of mud that the creek redeposits on everything on a regular basis.

Took the stem butts to one of the parks department’s woodchip hordes near me and spread around judiciously.

I’m bombing every pile of wood chips and decaying log I can find in my area, not a single stem butt has gone unused.

Those stem buts are aggressive. I was really impressed how they colonized just about every wood chip bed I planted.  Next year should be even more fruitful for you Georgia boys.

definitely lots of them out.  I checked my bosses yard and found a good bit of them out.  shouldnt be too much longer if conditions persist as they are.
