I figured it would be too cold to find anything but I guess not. Well I do live a little more northern than you guys but still. I haven’t seen any mushrooms or any kind this week.

I Derp. Out here in BFE is like paradise compared to where I am from but that's a valid point. G-d only knows what chems could be there. Appreciate the replies.

if you truly understand natural processes and that all the water, air, plant, fungus and wildlife are connected, you will find out that there isn't a magic boundery line of safe or unsafe for consumption. Thousands upon thousands of gallons of various types of hazardous "chemicals" are released into the environment every year, and has surely made it into nearly every waterway on earth by now. Unless you are hiking to the top of a mountain 100s of miles from people to find mushrooms you are likely consuming chemicals. Even that far out chemicals can still be present. Just look at how mercury has effected the Adirondack loon population, from powerplant emissions that the jetstream carries from states over. You aren't saving yourself by avoiding roadsides

Btw I'm new to GA, never found wild actives, and am excited to get out.  Seems like a great state for it.

yeh cant escape the chemicals but you can avoid concentrations, maybe months ago they had sprayed defoliant for kuduz, i think its good idea to avoid roadside.

went today was more saturated than last time. laccaria mostly, couple entoloma and psathryella. Didnt see any lacrymaria.
