Hey,
I know you guys probably don't get many dried pic ID requests..but my friend picked these and dried them out, but still not sure what they are. I just want to make sure they are decently potent but also SAFE!
Thanks!

I'll have to ask him. He got the pickings from a pal of his before he dried them out. 1.5cm wide cap
1cm wide stem
2 3/4 inch long stem. -=EDIT=-

Woah woah woah... Wait. Before we go making any kind of IDs we need to know a few things.
Where were they growing? Were they home grown or growing in the wild? Is this mushroom known to be a cubensis and are you just asking for a strain ID?
I'll go ahead and tell you that trying to make an ID on a dried mushroom down to the species is going to be close to impossible(unless it's a very distict species to start with), so don't expect any concrete answers here.

that in mind, if it was picked around the gulf coast on cow dung, then it is a cubensis, anywhere else, it is not. and whats this about it being 1.5 mm X 1mm X over 2 inches, thats rediculous. maybe you meant cm?

MD = Maryland...I have a feeling it was homegrown or imported...still waiting on the response.
Thanks for correcting me on the units of my measurement..you were right Mitchnast.

DO NOT EAT!
Although it does look exactly like a cubie, if it was growing in MD than it almost certainly is not.
I've lived in and around MD my whole life and I can tell you that cubes don't grow wild here.
It looks to me like the specimen you have there was grown indoors but what do I know.
Don't be a dummy. Dispose of it.
