I've checked that list out before. Nothing really interesting pops up around here. Some gyms and cintulus I believe. Im hoping that is just lack of recorded info.  The weather around here throughout the year seems like it would be excellent conditions for many more species than what has been recorded. then again what do I know? Lol I'm gonna test that idea though. Gonna start some azure, ovoid, and Subaerginosa, patches this year. Then add a few more next year

Hey Doc, I was wondering if your ovoid finds are amongst boxelder maple trees, as that is the substrate they seem to prefer in nature? Just curious

I’ve been hunting through some pastures here in South GA but haven’t had any luck.  It hasn’t rained lately so I assume that’s why I am not having any success.

You think the shift in temperature over night is having an effect as well?  Down where I am it’ll get low 50s and high 40s during the night and early morning.

You should be hunting creeks and river right now not pastures.

In terms of looking around creeks and rivers... what species should we be on the lookout for?

Additionally,  why shouldn’t we be looking in pastures?

Much appreciated!

You should be looking for Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata, these are from this morning.

Read this thread for habitat help: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25877405/fpart/all/vc/1

And you should be searching pastures too if that is something that interests you, it might just be a tad early. But you won’t know unless you look.
