Much of their "data" is subjective, correct? You do realize it's open to interpretation what defines a "domestic extremist" and "ties to...right-wing extremist movement"?

Incorrect. It's based on murders. Pretty cut and dry.

I do, as do they, and that's why in their report they define what they include in those groups. But it's pretty straightforward, not some Jew conspiracy or anything. And while I don't agree with everything on their website this report isn't really controversial.

He meant murders committed by (insert extremist designation here). That part of the data set is subjective. It's not objective like black and white murders are.

Tell me where personal feelings, tastes, or opinions were introduced in that report?

Since you two have such great evidence of this report being subjective bring some counter evidence. Semantics isn't cutting it.

No it’s pretty cut and dry. You just don’t want to accept you’re a part of a violent cult

I already did, they're putting people and the groups they may or may not associate with into certain categories that are subjective.

The Fox channel LABELS Bernie Sanders "a radical left-wing socialist" most of the time, that description is subjective.

qman never suggested that murder totals themselves were subjective. He suggested that the extremist designations being assigned to murders totals were subjective, since extremist designations are subjective, thus making that particular murder total data set subjective. And in response you replied that "It's based on murders. Pretty cut and dry."

It’s only subjective to you and qman. Hence the second part of my comment that you ignored.

It’s one part murder, and one part clearly defined rules for classification. We call this “method” in the world of science.

I personally am anti-semantic, so let’s try to debate some facts.

The ADL's (and SPLC's) designations and classification methods will never be scientifically sound or objectively true, no matter how much people like you and Koods want them to be. In fact, it's ironic they even call themselves the Anti-Defamation League.

"clearly defined rules for classification"

Laughable.

"world of science"

There is nothing scientific about their subjective view points.

Now if you want to state you agree with the fashion they define "domestic extremists" and "right-wing extremist movements" that's fine, but it's still a matter of opinion.

You're cool with defamation under the guise of anti-defamation? I think it's equally repugnant regardless of who does it.

..when it was clear that qman was referring to the subjectivity of the designations for which the data compilation relies, not the obvious objectivity involved with number counting (ie: a murder total)
