Notice any differences with you different agars?

I really wish someone who’s tried this already would chime in lol.  I was reading a thread last night and the guy tried so many things and constantly updated....then nothing.  It’s giving me less and less hope not finding journals with success stories.  But it will work for us right? 😝

this bottle has PDA, didn't try many agars however have 2 plates of Boiled wheat water agar. and its doing well on it as well. I guess Morchella Conica has orange to brown mycelium.

yeah.. there is no updates of late on morels. this thread is more than 10 years old, just cant believe that nobody succeeded.

Whoever went this way never returned with the trophy :laugh: or perhaps the result itself is more precious than the trophy ..

Ive tried supplying spawn for outdoor grows. Never had a single morel.:shrug:

Like with cordyceps its fairly essential to start with spores and refresh after a few months or transfers.  I had a culture i germinated myself make stones on agar but never took it to grain.

They are restarting the operation owned by mycopia in michigan, its clearly 'possible' to grow indoors.

I had sclertia all over, no fruits. Tried rufo. and impor. both. Someone in PNW fruited a few in an outdoor bed using spawn. I think maybe the spore slurry method might work better outdoors?

I got rufobrunnea to fruit in my outdoor raised bed with some spawn and a good substrate mix.
It only fruited the one year though, i was too lazy to feed the bed so nothing came back last season.

I saw you got fruit from esculenta as well, amazing!  What did you use for substrate?  I am trying esculentoids also.

Man that was :super: .. how much did to collect from the bed though so far from june 2017?

and what is the maximum and minimum temperature that you have in a year at your place.?

I guess my place is going to have a bit hotter climate for morels.

Fruit body is not different from wood, except it's edible. It's very very good for your body.

Kind of interesting.  I’ve never seen contam like this.  I had already transferred out and wasn’t all that careful with these plates as they were going to be throw away anyway.  I’ve never seen mycellium contam like this when it hit the edges of the plates.  The plates transferred after are doing well, no contams that I can see.
