One person's testimony is enough to convict people every day in this country.  This woman is very credible.

It's not a trial. They are trying to decide if he is worthy of the position. They aren't punishing him.

Not getting a job is not the same thing as being convicted of a crime.

People are denied jobs over much more inane bullshit than this all the time in the real world.

The people who judge the rest of us need to be held to a higher standard.

If there is even the slightest possibility these allegations may be true, and there is, he should not be a supreme court justice.

As you know, he's not in a criminal trial.

There is no evidence.

You know as well as I do that he is lying.

Ford told her counselor about the incident in 2012 and (as I understand it based on what I saw yesterday) has written record of that. She told her husband and various other friends as well.

Kavanaugh lied about having never blacked out during the hearing. He has written in timestamped emails that he got so drunk he blacked out.

During the hearing, he lied about being able to legally drink in Maryland in HS. He was 17 when the drinking age changed to 21 in Maryland.

His buddy Mike Judge wrote a book about how wasted and horny they were throughout HS, and goes into quite a lot of detail including using "Bart" Kavanaugh by name.

During the hearing, he said he didn't know if "Bart Kavanaugh" was him. That's a definite lie.

An ex-girlfriend of Mark Judge, Elizabeth Rasor, has said Judge once told her about an occasion when he and other boys took turns having sex with a drunken woman when he was in high school.

His Yale classmate Lynn Brookes said she was disappointed in his blatant lying during the hearing and that he was often incoherent and drunk

His Yale roommate James Roche (who is also good friends with the second accuser) said that he believes the accuser and that Kavanaugh was a drunk and he and his friends were definitely capable of it

Another Yale roommate, Kit Winter, said Kavanaugh was often wasted, and that their shared bathroom was constantly covered in vomit

Ford took a polygraph test and the results were "not indicative of deception"

Kavanaugh refused to take one. Even though in the past he wrote a decision as a judge saying that polygraphs are a valuable tool for background checks on federal employees

Ford wanted an official investigation.

Kavanaugh didn't.

If he was innocent, wouldn't he be comfortable with an investigation?

Wouldn't he want to clear his name?

Wouldn't he want his buddies to come tell everyone what a great guy he has always been?

I do agree with you on that, and it will all be thanks to the unemployed and barely literate conservatives that put us in this position.

All those angry, stupid, unemployed red state men got us here, and now we all have to suffer because of their inadequacies in life and in intellect.

Kavanaugh is probably nursing a king sized hangover this morning after
all that lying and crying he did yesterday.

We'll see if the FBI sticks to this ridiculous demand to keep its investigation to
under one week.(as per our sexual assaulter-in-chief )

My senators and governor know how my wife and I feel about this and many other issues
and my senator has actually answered us back by mail.

I encourage anyone living in a state with republican senators
to call and email them letting them know how you feel,
even if you approve of having a lying, alcoholic sexual predator on the supreme court.

She didn't mention Kavanaugh's name in therapy.

Nobody here has read the emails.

Bart is not Bret. Even the senators did not argue that information.

The next few reasons you listed are hearsay.

Polygraphs are erroneous.

It's not his responsibility to call for investigations. And now there is an investigation.

No corroboration.

I believe this man is innocent. Maybe the FBI will find something. Or maybe Ford will file formal charges in her state.

And imagine if you are wrong.

Well contrary to what he said during the hearing, apparently Kavanaugh himself believes they can be useful, considering he wrote an opinion saying exactly that:

No charges can be filed, genius.  It's way beyond statute of limitations. 

And it doesn't even matter whether the story is true or not.  At this point, he will always be the rapist on the supreme court.  The right thing to do is to step down so as not to further tarnish the integrity of the Court.
