So after Trump is impeached or quits,
and speaker of the house Paul Ryan gets fired,
we get President Pence and VP Orrin Hatch (83 years old),
with Rex Tillerson next in line for VP.

Did I get that right?

No.  Pence becomes President and he appoints a new vice President under the 25th amendment.

The Nixon administration employed all the permutations of the 25th ammendment.

First you had to replace the Vice President when he resigned with ford. Then the president resigned and ford got to appoint a Vice President, Rockefeller, and you ended up with an administration that nobody had voted for.

Yes, we get Pence. Pence, who wouldn't be able to do much, would ride out the next two years, and in 2020 we can have 90 year old arthritic Bernie Sanders, and write this half a decade off as an 'oops'.

i've never considered ignoring someone on this site more than luddite.  I haven't once seen him contribute anything to a thread that wasn't a complete waste of time that can never be retrieved.  I hate myself right now for even typing this, for the reason i just mentioned.
