Relatively new vegan here.

I sport a lot which means I need above average calories per day. Vegan food is of a low caloric density usually which means I end up eating all the fucking time. That definitely takes some getting used to. It sometimes even takes planning.

I love eating more than anything though so I don't really mind.

most vegans eat a shitload more than omnomnomnivores. with all the food nutter talking about how much it costs to eat veggies those in poverty cant eat vegan

It is mostly grains and beans though. They are very inexpensive.

I'm guessing where I live the price ratio between veggies and meat might be more vegan friendly than in the US. I keep hearing the price argument from Americans whereas people here are inclined to see how vegans could actually save money. Meat is quite pricey here.

Look at Detroit with the revitalization or urban housing projects with the implementation of farming over having grass or a lawn!

detroit's revitalization is still in the concept state and in most projects they
arent allowing people to dig in the ground, you can farm in buckets though

I did not say all, I have vegan body building friends who are much better fit  than some who do eat meat... Im not making a claim for a majority only the possibility.

Pollution is a huge problem but another one all together, the meat industry contributes to this as does any farming but farming can be done in ways that help reduce this much more so than meat production.

I don't have quarrels with your choice to eat meat, It does sound if you spite those who choose not to though and who say it contributes positively to this world... Because it does in many ways. Even if thats more meat for you in your eyes :lmafo: .... We didnt start off eating meat right away... it came later but of course its become part of our evolution but its much harder on our bodies to process the complex nitrogenous bases found in those amino acids and proteins.

I don't blame meat for the worlds problems, but it does contribute. Its not a fad to me, I just try to live simply and on less. For myself i strive to leave as little footprint anyway I can and no eating meat is just one of them.

But again this is just my choice, Ill say my bit, but not with intentions of causing converts (although If someone chose to try an alternative diet due to something I say then im more than happy to be a catalyst.)

I do me and this makes me happy

The species that eventually evolved into humans were meat eaters. So in fact, our pre-human species were meat eaters, it's in our genes.

Many claim our digestive systems hasn't evolved properly to digest grains yet.

Fucking hilarious that you mention that. I forgot all about this bit I read a while back on an athletics/bodybuilding website. 3 minutes on google will verify it all.

Brown rice seems to inhibit a lot to do with a healthy digestive system.

Mealworms are almost infinitely more efficient to farm as a protein source than anything else we now use and they're very protein dense.  It's actually amazing.  If insects become a protein source in places like the USA it'll probably be mealworms.

I'm semi-vegetarian. when I was a kid, my stepdad would force me to eat chicken, steak, etc. and the texture (feel) of it inside my mouth would disgust me so much I'd instantly throw it back up. I do eat *some* meats, though, like hot dogs or those breakfast patty things or ground beef or burgers. I'm really picky when it gets to how things are prepared tho, like I won't eat a steak but I would eat beef franks even tho they're both cow lol

anyway that's my story

Any non biased sources on veganism and if its on par with a meat inclysive diet?

Ive seen the vegan gains nut job and he isnt even aesthetic. His chest looks protein starved.
The vegan strongman on the other hand has a solid build.

Im really more interested in just seeing if the diet is really that good for you. I know a few vegans and they seem to have to take vitamins and supplements to get all their nutrients.

I was thinking maybe going vegetarian to detox my bod. Id maybe go full vegan if i saw an appealing meal plan.
