Dig it man...
I endorse this!

Huge fan of inhectables becaaaauuuuse:

Although people always "what if its not clean" ect ect but..if proven clean:
The inoc success rate it the highest
The expansion potential, storage, ease of inocuation and high success rate at inoculation make it a win in my humble opinion...

yeah that's what I said silicon the ring to the blade assembly. It was very hard to get back on with it not attached. I ended up having to readjust the ring because it leaked which also possibly let contams in. I saw in that tek where he uses tin foil to reduce the risk of this happening but seems much easier to just glue it on. Thanks for the input appreciate it.

keep us posted wether if this makes it easier. also take a picture of the assembly glued with the ring. if it works out for you, i may do this on my next 9er tek clone.

Her is another option.

Attach the blade assembly to a plastic lid using silicone and just put the lid onto the blender instead of the plastic base. Just make sure that a plastic lid will fit onto your blender while still allowing the gears to properly line up.

That last option I just gave was my first prototype. I took it apart when I realised the threads on my blender where the same as a half pint. I like the version in the OP better but this is just another option for people who can't find a PCable blender. Silicone works fine. Lots of people use it to attach SFDs to plastic lids and its not like you are using this set up for long term storage. I use my LIs within an hour of making them.

rtv silicone is just fine i agree. i also like the fact that you pointed out to use the LI within an hour of making them. I generally make the LI and i also have all my quarts or pf jars in my shmuvbox ready for inoculation. so not only am i making my clone in the same sitting i am also inoculating them immediately after ive made them unless im storing in the fridge for later use.

now, you can store them in sterile syringes in the fridge for years. i usually wrap those syringes in double plastic bags as well. but if you do plan on storing them, make sure its in a fridge. it won't last long sitting in room temperature.

that 2nd lid idea is very cool.

Did you cut the hole in the plastic lid the same size as the circular base of the cutting assembly so that the lid and cutting assembly base are flush?

Basically you're gluing a crack that's a circle to make this flush so the rubber to rubber gear engagement is same?

For all of you attempting this with Oster blenders and gluing your gasket to your blade, here's a place you can buy another cutting assembly if you want to have a blade and gasket that aren't glued together without buying another blender.  Have used this company before and they were great.  Gourmet Depot - free ship too.

I cut the hole just slightly bigger than the cylinder portion of the blade assembly so that the gasket lays flat against the outside face of the lid. I slide the blades threw the hole and the rubber gear portion protrudes past the top of the lid.

and after pcing:
and still working   so i'm satisfied
they had replacement blender attachment and gasket for $10 at walmart BTW

but gluing was difficult so to anyone get muda's blender and all is very easy(and the base is PCable. I would want a wide mouth attachment for the osters (FOR TIGER DROP) but a wide mouth doesn't fit in my blender so i'm waiting for that til i get the blender muda recommended. Thanks guys I'm doing my debut LI tommorrow with better knowledge (less liquid) and a now easy to remove lid (NO FLOPPING GASKET)
