Oeric's CANNABIS pics, strain talk, and comments 2

I'll use this as a place to share pics of tasty medicine and strain thoughts. Here we have one of my top 2 recent faves, Dutch Passion's blueberry. It is overly bushy and vine-like in growth parameter which I find not ideal, but the bud is very frosty and tasty. Initially euphoric, but has a delayad couch lock that makes me physically heavy & tired. I wish you could smell it as it is unique.

My main breeding goal is to bring my favorite qualities and incorporate them into a local gem of a strain called "gumdrop". Nothing here grows better than this outdoors, and its coincidentally mega potent. I have already crossed it equally with Chem dog by Greenhouse seeds and the ultimate road with that idea is probably neverending....
I believe that when you grow something outdoors, it encodes DNA into its offspring to be better the following year at growing in that particular environment until it has eventually become highly effecient at it. It will already know exactly how many days it has. What soil type & nutrients are available. Each year, it changes a little bit and becomes a little better at what it does. This is a great reason to purposely seed a portion of your ladies, & SAVE YOUR OWN SEEDS if you grow outdoors!
This applies to edible crops like pumpkins also. I'm working on climbing strains that grow on my trellises.

Indeed, the environment affects the seeds that plants produce. It may take several generations but you will begin noticing a difference between for example, the 10th generation and the 1st generation of seedlings.

Its so neat. I feel it makes each regional outdoor variety its own gem for where it is. The longer, the better. Ive encountered some really funky "skunk" types that were self bred, northernized sativas. A sativa that, 20 years later, now acts like an indica. Watching a plant change and adapt. Its only natural of course. Plant evolution through DNA coding in seeds

What are the differences between Sativa and Indica? I had a bit too much last night and it felt like I was watching my self through a stained window. I reflected back on the past and looked into my near future(not seeing the futue, just potential worries to come). It felt like the world was pulling me in several directions. It felt like something was insisting that I let go of control but I never did. It was a bit more involved than that but I won't go into anymore details regarding the experience.
After crawling to my bed, I listened to music for a while and was pleasantly brought back. And then I passed out.

Indidual reactions may vary.....haha. As far as mental states go, all the pathways in your mind already exist. We just jiggle different keys around different doors to travel different hallways. So you have (organic compound) x ( your individual brain and makeup) = individual reaction
But in general/stereotypically.....
Indica is: From more mountainous or northern regions Shorter Stockier Wider leaves Dense buds Quicker flowering time
&&&& The buzz is 'generally' more stoney and heavy on the body. Sometimes has delayed onset.
Sativa is: From more tropical or desert regions Tall Lanky Thin leaves Looser bud structure Long flowering time
The buzz is 'generally' more psychedelic, uplifting, but may induce paranoia, or panic in some. Onset is generally immediate.
This a broad and generalized overview.
Nowadays, most strains are hybrids and not pure inbred regional outdoor genetics we call "land race", which are still available, and do exist still. For instance, a pure Afghan kush (indica), or a pure Thai (sativa) from those regions which define the species in the first place.

Bubba kush from Apothecary genetics^
I have no review yet. This is the first time I've grown this. Medium yield but impressive bud structure and quality. Very frosty and funky. Dense. As dense as the original indoor masterpiece "northern lights" but with some of the glistening stacked calyx formations of a sativa. Buds are extremely sticky with frosted leaves as well as radiant orange hairs. Notably large, lush fan leaves that protrude on long stems. Shot up fast in veg, and although reasonably ridged looking, could barely hold her own weight near the end. It just made it without being tied up.
Looking forward to smoking this stickiness

Cheers, bro!

Nice medicine you have there. I'm curious, do you use organic methods of feeding them?

Lookin' tasty....great pics!!!
Dutch Passion rocks.
I've only grown bud once and here are the pics.... Old school pics from an old camera phone in 2005. These are actually Dutch Passion feminized Skunk #1 from Marc Emery back before he was nailed. Grown in Supersoil with worm castings and perlite added. Ended up wiping out the small one. The big one ended up being over seven feet tall and the stalk base was 3 inches across, grown in full Cali sun. I'm standing on a chair in the first pic, the big one is already up to the garage gutter, and it's still in veg state in that pic. Ended up having about 18 fat buds. Only used Earth Juice grow and bloom, kept it all organic. Tasted great and was smooth as butter.....
I need to grow again, I loved it.

A couple pics from a plant I picked earlier:

This is "chem dog" by Greenhouse seeds. (Reported to actually be the original "chemdawg" by Apothecary and sold through Greenhouse) THE dankest genetic gem.... I have crossed it with many things through a reversed female clone I made with STS solution. The crosses of "northern nights" (nirvana), blueberry(dutch passion), my gumdrop strain, and most recently, with martian kush(DNA) have all been made and socked away into the freezer.. Looking forward to augmenting the lanky growth parameter. Its wirey, vine-like growth is one thing that I find undesirable. Its also not a fast flowering girl and never holds her own weight up past the half way flowering point... in fact im worried my outdoor girls will flop to the ground...
Its just so funky and dank. The high is a knockout, hammering both mind & body. The smell/taste are unforgettably funky. Picture acetone mixed with melting rubber with a spash of pine skunk.

Never thought I would say this, but that sounds pretty unappetizing... I've obviously been away from the weed scene too long.
Even though I don't smoke anymore, I enjoy reading about all these strains and looking at the pics. Keep it up man
-------------------- One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. 'Which road do I take?' she asked. 'Where do you want to go?' was his response. 'I don't know', Alice answered. 'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

I know how the funk sounds but believe me, its better than good! I used to argue with my brother because I liked fruity weed. The seed for the chem dog came from him, and it took me growing it and sampling it to agree that he was actually right al along. (This hurt since im the "wiser" older brother haha) I still do like fruity weed too but the chemy funk... well the taste is very awesome. After an exhale, all you can say is "wow that tastes dank" .... I remember my first hit I literally said "man...this is everything kickass weed needs to be", its like this tasty piney musk fuel.

I'd like to note that because of this simple question I did a lot of thinking and have since converted to 100% organic. Im pretty psyched about this, and so far, the new local purple im doing at the moment is looking/smelling awesome... making worm casting & compost tea for them and all that jazz

Just wait until you get that dialed in a bit. There is no comparison between OG and even well flushed non OG. The flavor is way better, and the high is too. Plus its cheaper and you can keep reusing your soil. Nice pics BTW...
