sterilizing hand blender - for liquid inoculant
    #3611465 - 01/11/05 04:01 AM (19 years, 2 months ago)

ey!

i want to use our hand blender in other to blend up inner mushroom tissue
to create liquid inoculant.

thats the blender:

i thought about first of all properly cleaning it as good as i could,
then boil it in cooking water for like 20 minutes and finally
wipe it down with IPA before i use it.

wanted to sterilize a jar with water inside, then cut a good chunk of
mushroom tissue, add h2o2 to the water in the jar, throw in the
mushroom tissue and blend.

then suck up for syringe and use.
this should work out right, if not please suggest something.
peace ohm :mushroom2:

Sounds like your making a spin off from the slurry tek. I'm trying to think how realistically if this is practical and I'm not really feeling it. Making a culture you wanna start small, to me at least, smaller sample feels safer, less chance of contamination, more control of what you're introducing to your medium.
