So far, up to yesterday night, I had mainly taken more "recreational" doses of mushrooms or LSD. I always have decided to find something I normally do and see how it is "in a new light", so to speak. A week ago I decided that instead of just taking 1 tab or a 1/16 and ride my board or do something, I'd instead spend the whole trip in my room, in complete darkness.
I got a message from a friend of mine, his cousin just grew some shrooms and I wanted to try some. I went and picked up my 1/8 and got home with it. What I saw I was dissapointed with... The material looked more like 1/16 but not cracker dry, so the weight was about 3.7 on my scale. I assumed that these weren't properly dry and I will not trip very hard at all, comparing to a larger volume with less moisture.
I munch them all down at about 10:30 P.M. and drank my soda along with it to get them all digested. I had to take my dog out, so I figured I'd let the come up start with me watching Saturday Night Live. By the end of the show, I was balling laughing and tripping (not hallucinating) on the shadows that the lamp made.
I finally decided it was time to go in. My dog and I adjourned to my room and a sat down to take a dab of shatter BHO. I could see my carpet shifting as I heated my nail up. I took my dab, beginning to see triple. I knew it was finally time to shut off the lights. I sat down saying to myself that my bed was my spaceship and me and Shadow (my dog) were going on a journey.
I finally laid down in the darkness, only to see what looked like the inside of a huge machine. Cogs turning together at faster and slower paces. In my peripheral vision, I could see a small light and what seemed like a knob. I turned the knob down in my mind, and all the cogs stopped. I also realized that the constant thinking I normally have on psychedelics is completely gone. I then realized that the cogs were my mind. I have practiced meditation before, and that is the only real comparison I can make for what I did. I emptied my mind and relaxed, watching the morphing CEV's that would still surround me.
As I relaxed more and more, I heard this high-ish pitched ringing in my ears, but not like tinnitus. I could feel something making a twitch or, something, in the middle of my head, above my top palette. It gave this numb buzz but at the same time a tingling sensation. I kept listening to the sound as it got louder and louder. All of a sudden, I get a big flash of light and I feel a shock go through my spine to the point in my head I could feel the sound.
I came back and opened my eyes, the sound was gone. I could swear that whatever I saw was trying to teach me something, maybe an entity? (just guessing, no clue)I started questioning the existence of everything, including myself, and all sense of time was gone. I tried to relax myself again and see if I could learn more. I could still start to hear the ringing, but the shock would not happen again the whole night. I allowed the OEV's to give me a fun show as I tried to finally get to sleep. Sometime when daylight started coming back, I remember going to sleep.
This was an extremely deep experience, but it is so confusing. Has anyone else had this ringing, or even some sort of similar "shock"? I'd love to hear hypotheses and opinions.
In the meantime, stay stoney guys

Are you familiar with the concept of Kundalini at all?

Seems maybe I experienced ego-death? It was overwhelming, but not negatively. If that makes any sense.
"Visions or sounds at times associated with a particular chakra" Had multiple repeating auditory hallucinations during the whole experience, especially before the shock.
"Diminished or conversely extreme sexual desire sometimes leading to a state of constant or whole-body orgasm" The shock could be in some ways similar to a W-B O. It gave me an amazing feeling after I came back from it. It surprised me so much I didn't get to really analyze it when the shock happened.
Heck, the physiological effects in some ways perfectly describe a super-intense trip. Very interesting info Clockwork, very helpful

My dogs name is also Shadow 
And to me, it sounds like you were about to experience an OBE (out of body experience). When I've experienced these, it's starts with a ringing in your ears that grows into a vibration that you can feel. Usually at one point it gets very intense and you experience a "popping" sensation. It's something you usually see and feel, and that's supposedly your spirit leaving your body.
Do a little research into "Astral Projection". That might help answer a few questions for you.

i too have had the ringing. i made 30 grams of acacia confusa in a tea with 8 grams of syrian rue in a seperate tea. had a few beers that night as well. but anyway i drank 3 sips of each tea, the syrian 30 min prior to the other. well as soon as i got nausious thats when the visuals hit me like a roller coaster. so i puked. felt immediately better afterwards and now understood why the puke is essential in experiencing the aya. but thats besides the point. i began to lay down as i was laying i heard this LOUD LOUD LOUD SCARY high pitch PULSATING sound ringing in my ears. almost unbearable but i knew i was in the trip and i just had to deal with so when i gave into the sound it carried me away from my body on this incredible journey and i heard a voice say, do you really want a breakthrough, and all i could think of was my sweetheart and how i couldnt leave her behind to not take the journey with me. so i ended up dancing around thoughts of her all night wondering if the either of us are worthy of one another. do we deserve each other that type shit. but i remember that when the ringing stopped that was when i was able to sit back up into my body. so yes i think your ringing may have been the DMT in the mush as well.

Well it seems that this ringing is becoming a recurring thing for me. It isn't particularly annoying to me, but I've never been one to be hurt from high pitched sounds (for example, there is a house nearby that my friends and I would walk past, had a dog deterrent alarm that rang a high pitch, which my friends would be almost actually hurt by, but it didn't affect me, but I could hear it). I find meditating on the ring while mid-session is quite interesting. Had some quite powerful Leary tabs for Halloween and this past Monday night and the ringing is very prevalent, especially when in the quiet of my own mind.

awww im jealous. real L hasnt been around my way in years. i found some but dude wants 300 a vial and wont sell singles. i mean what the fuck and im to do with an entire vial. its rediculous to have that much. i could see myself tripping real nuts one night thinking oh yeah i can do more and end up hurting myself. but ayahuasca is the only thing to give me that death defying ringing noise that kind makes everything else irrelevant.

lol i guess since it's already diluted you could get some blotter paper and lay it yourself? It is quite lucky, only two guys I know don't just get RC's, and I keep my ehrlich for each new batch to be sure lol. Or you can lock it up as soon as you take some drops and be sure not to touch it again for a little while lol.
