mushrooms: its a lot easier to achieve the level trip you want because the doses are easier to determine. in my experience with acid, i was usually doing a different type every time and had no idea what to expect.
i also like the trip of mushrooms a lot better. it could be all in my head but the effects of the shroom are much more pleasurable. acid hits me all at once usually- and it freaks me out.
plus you can grow your own shrooms, its fun and it makes tripping so much better when it is from something you put so much effort into.

I would definitely say the shroomies. I guess just cause the fact they are natural, and although I havnt done much research on it, I am guessing it is a little easier on the brain. Also I like the trip of shrooms ALOT better!

it really just depends... i've been dosing mushrooms alot recently and am really wanting some acid now
last year it was just the opposite
i guess i prefer the general trip of mushrooms, but every once in a while, a good lsd mindfuck freakout is alot of fun too

I'd say shrooms.
I cant get over that acid stays with you forever. At least with shrooms, your body has a way of metabolizing and excreting the psilocybes

I was told (which means it could easily be a myth) that the reason ppl have flashbacks from lsd is because your body cannot breakdown the lsd. the liver or kidneys cant metabolize it, so it gets stored in your fat cells. Thats why when ppl work out, or get stressed, they have flashbacks. and thats why they dont let ppl fly planes who have taken lsd.
although, after reading http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/lsd/lsd_myth1.shtml it has become clear that i was lied to.
Good ol' erowid. always there to prove me wrong.

It's wierd how they differ, I find shrooms more natural. It's like mushrooms make me wanna go into a lord of the rings type theme and acid makes me wanna go into a spaceship. What the fuck am I saying? My acid trips were more mild but the visuals are in your face and shrooms kinda creep in, I really need more acid experience.

Acid by far! The vibe is always more itnteresting, visuals are guaranteed with cid, great energy, easy on the body, far more spiritual.
Ive had some of the most incredible experiences on acid. Ive watched silver objects dance around in the first rays of dawn that peak through the wispy clouds. Ive chased a blue fire while walking through a forest that seems to dissappear when you get close and reappear further away. Ive seen the wind change in the air on a fresh morning where the colours of everything were so enhanced and bright that they appeared to be 'high res'.
Ive also had incredible experiences on shrooms - shrooms can be great but high doses tend to be hard on the body, and the experiences seem sometimes a bit 'fabricated' like there is something profound there but not quite - SOMETIMES the experiences seem a bit fake. Something one could never say about acid or Salvia. just my opinion though and i still luv shroomies!!!

Flashbacks and HPPD are usually associated with acid, but this must mean that this can happen with shroomies too, right?

Shrooms - i love them for the profound thinking and the amazing body sensations, but i hate them for the hell they put my stomach threw.
Acid - amazing visuals but usally i end up freaking out a little bit
i guess if i had to pick one it would be shrooms

interesting opinion. but could you explain what you mean by fake? i've tried shrooms and salvia, and the two experiences don't really compare for me. to me it seems that anyone could consider acid experiences fake as well since it's just the effect of the drug that is producing hallucinations

i've never ever had any problems getting sick or feeling nautious(sp?) from shrooms. i find the exact opposite of what bluemeanie said to be true. acid is very hard on my body(i feel like complete shit the next day usually) and with shrooms i feel fine if not wonderful.

LSD is almost completely metabolized and broken down within hours. The little that is left is metabolized in the next day or so. Acid flashbacks (just like any type of flashback) are triggered when someone sees/hears/experiences something that reminds them of a trip, generally a strong one. And they usually aren't that bad, a lot of people like em. ;p (free momentary tripping..!)

The last time i was doing acid was in the 70s...
If things haven't changed, I'll go for the acid...more intense, deeper,
great visuals....

acid, is by far funner for me. With shrooms I always feel a bad trip may happen (not my happen but more likely, and only happened once and tripped many times since then). But with Acid I'll just run around laugh and have a good old time, much more visual. shrooms ill want to sit and think more, not bad or anything (infact helpfull sometimes) but not "fun". And now i can finally get some acid, fuck yeah i can't wait for friday. Going camping with 'captian cid' and friends.

yup, it's the same way for me: acid is rough on my body. makes my back ache a lot (i have back problems anyway, but LSD seems to accentuate it). with fungus, i get a little gas and occasionally a stomach ache, but that's probably because i prefer to eat them on an empty stomach.
i guess the quality of the LSD makes a difference, too. some nice, clean, liquid seems to treat me better than other forms...

shrooms tend to make my body feel like SHIT when I come down, every time ... on acid my back hurts minorly but since the comedown of acid for me never ends till i go to sleep, i am too focused on the still-intense trip during the comedown to notice body pain.
I think acid is my favorite drug of any drug I've ever tried -- I've tried roughly 20+ different kinds of drugs (some only once and hated, especially research chemicals and salvia). Shrooms also make me think way too much, which 9 times out of 10 makes me have a bad trip ... acid just kinda says "Let's have the time of our life and have FUN, who cares what we learn." Shrooms, for me, are too powerful to be taken recreationally because of how they truly are teachers and will punish you for doing wrong, as in, dosing when you know you are supposed to be doing something like studying for an exam. Acid will just make you trip and laugh like hell and run around like a madman (if your dose is low enough, that is). On 2 hits I ran around my 20-acre ranch and had the MOST fun of my life, ever. Only time I felt nervous was during the long comedown when I kinda felt I wouldn't come back. Then I took 3 1/2 hits with my friend in my room and tripped out beyond anything in my room for the entire trip and never had a second of trouble, it was just pure ecstacy.

well - i was talking purely from my experience here Geo - ofcourse you may not agree.
What i meant by 'fake' in that the experiences from mushrooms sometimes seem to be holding something back - with acid everything is twisted and weird, but your mind is at that same level and all the confusion makes perfect sense - Salvia is so strong that everything you experience for that short period of time is completely profound.
Whereas with mushrooms and only sometimes i might add, there isnt much of a vibe, and after the initial anxiety when your tripping hard and having a strong visual trip (3 grams of ps.Cyanescens/ ps.Subaeruginosa will get you there bigtime!) everything your witnessing or experiencing can seem a totally and completely twisted but your mindset can be still quite normal in that you realise while your tripping that its all just your senses and there is this spiritual feeling that is there but not quite obtainable if that makes any sense

LSD IS THE SHIT! more fun, better visuals, deeper experience. Mushrooms are fun too but the trip is harder to handle and its much easier to freak out. I seem to get bored on shrooms too.

I completely agree bluemeanie in the sense that mushrooms won't let you fully "join" their world ... and thus it's harder to be able to "fit in" it. Acid does put you in that world so that you aren't really scared of it, it all makes sense. Hrm I guess I'm not truly able to say how I feel about the matter, but in essence, I just feel shrooms don't let you enter fully and thus it is that much easier to freak out.

I also have not done acid since the 70's however the memories of the trips I had on acid are still vivid. Love mushrooms but definately a distant second.

I like shrooms more, just because I have had better experiences with them. On shroom trips, however, I find it harder to control myself and the trip... like it's hard to just go on doing stuff. where on acid, you're just seein visuals and kinda flippin out, but you can still function.
maybe i just take too many shrooms...

In my experience - acid has given me deeper thoughts, it brought to light everyday thoughts that I ignored- Honestly I haven't gotten that with mushrooms *YET*, I specifically remember one of my thoughts on acid was "we are one", there is nothing more intense then grasping the universe's mysteries and uncovering something so blatantly obvious - we all came from the SAME primordial soup... It's interesting - we're all close friends in here whether we know one another or not.
