MUFON on UFOs * 2
    #18179856 -

MUFON is the largest ever data gathering organization dedicated to UFOs. What do they have to say?

Quote:
Every year over 70,000 reports of UFO sightings come into UFO Research Organizations around the world. ... it is true that 9 out of 10 sightings are explainable

That is only 63,000 or 90% GUARANTEED mis-identifications per year. Gee, how can skeptics not trust eyewitness accounts when a UFO organization does not trust them either.

"Gee OC what about the remaining 10%?"

Good question gentle reader. The remaining 10% remain UFOs simply meaning there is insufficient data to identify. Duh! To date there is zero evidence linking one of these unidentified objects to a point of origin outside of our solar system. Not one. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero, bupkis. Despite all of the hand-waving, this fact remains unquestionable.

There also remains zero evidence by accredited astronomers of objects arriving from deep space that are able to maneuver. none.

Testimony from top officials on their personal beliefs is no more evidential than President Bush telling us that God told him to invade Iraq is proof of a Divine Being. What these things are proof of is a high degree of ignorance and severe lack of critical thinking skills. And exposure to too many late night movies.

That last statement is not a joke. Popular culture definitely affects how we view objects in the sky. Sightings increase after every single major Hollywood alien invasion release. This is fact and is a well-known psychological effect called 'suggestibility'.

Hell, UFO nutters shot water towers and actually killed people after the 1938 April Fool's radio broadcast DESPITE MULTIPLE DISCLAIMERS THAT IT WAS ONLY A RADIO DRAMA. Several unskilled thinkers here would have us believe the thousands of eyewitness reports following the broadcast because "How could they all be wrong?"

Simple. Hysteria and seeing what the mind projects.

For a proper scientific investigation, I would need to do an A/B comparison. Until that fine day, it is all conjecture.

they are trying to communicate with us, i tells ya.  getting us all worked up so they can easily harvest our sperms to create a new generation of human-alien hybrids.  gene variation and racial diversity is what they need for the continuation and survival of their species.  they can't just keep fucking each other, alone on those spaceships.

100 percent of UFO sightings are explicable. The question is how many of them are explained by the presence of extra-terrestrial visitors.

There is substantial evidence of the presence of ETs, including but not limited to photo, video, eyewitness and radiological analysis of landing sites, much of which is documented in the documentaries I linked you to but you presumably did not watch.

You often mention that these beings must come from outside our solar system. What you really mean, presumably, is from outside our planet, as we do not conclusively know what may live on other planets within our solar system, nor can we rule out non-human terrestrial intelligences. The mahabharatan epic contained in the Vedic texts (considered by some to be the oldest human writing) describes the presence and activity of flying machines in great detail.

Despite asking for and "eagerly awaiting" it, you never actually commented on the video I pointed you to in my other thread, the one beginning at 3:45. The video certainly exists, the question is how do you explain it?

I see only a few options. Do you think those objects are birds? Birds can not hover in place or accelerate as those objects do. Do you think those objects are asteroids or some other natural phenomenon? No natural phenomenon known can reverse direction or hover in place and accelerate as those do. Known planes and helicopters? Likewise. Do you think, then, that it is photoshopped, and the onlookers are actors? I personally do not find that a plausible explanation, and I think anyone who watched the clip would agree. Here I am doing all your work for you again.

How would you, Orgone, explain that video? If it cannot be explained, what does that say about the content of your OP in this thread?

And when NASA astronauts state things like "we have the alien spacecraft under observance", do you believe that they too are succumbing to hysteria and projection?

As usual you either duck the point or have reading comprehension problems. You go on and on about eye-witness testimony and when it is shown that a MINIMUM OF 90% is in error, you still wonder how skeptics can dismiss such human fallacy.

The video shows some unknown lights or touched up videos. There is nothing about those lights that scream "It came from Outer Space!" Why is it my job to specify what they are? YOU are the one saying that is the best ever evidence for alien visitation with no data other than being perplexed. 10 years here and you are still unable to grasp the ARGUMENT FROM IGNORANCE FALLACY.

Bravo!

I am assuming you are trying to say "why is up to me to specify what they are?" . Its up to you because I am asking you for your opinion. It seems that in so far as you have answered, you have said "unknown lights" meaning UFOs (unidentified flying objects) or touched up videos (by which I assume you mean CGI). If they are unknown lights, they are unknown lights that clearly display a few very pertinent characteristics and behaviours- they hover in place, reverse direction, and accelerate with great speed. There is a fairly limited amount of possible explanations for lights that display such behaviors, and the only ones I can think of are 1. Alien craft 2. Secret/classified highly advanced human craft and 3. CGI.

I believe that the video does not bear the hallmarks of CGI, the reaction of the multiple onlookers appears authentic, and the same craft are filmed from a second, different location. To me the CGI explanation is not at all convincing in this case, and I believe most who view the video will agree.

When you say a minimum of 90% of sighting are in error, I will do you one better and say 99% are in error. That still leaves 1%. And of course, it only takes one single correct sighting to prove the whole case.

Its the old argument (Popperian?) . You can see a million swans and conclude all swans are white (you can see a million fake UFOs or false sighting, and assume all sighting are false) but it only takes one black swan to disprove your point (one true or authentic sighting). And once that one black swan has been seen, no amount of further white swans will ever undo or reverse the impact of that single black swan.

In other words, to say that 90% of all sighting are false is essentially completely irrelevant. It only takes one true sighting to prove the case, and once proven it cannot be disproven. If 99% of sighting are false, that still leaves hundreds or thousands that are not, and it only takes one of them to irrevocably prove the point that alien visitation is occurring. In other words, to my mind, you are inadvertently undermining your own argument.

And yet you still wonder why human testimony is so easily dismissed. Is this really so hard to grasp?

We have no alien craft to compare to, yet you know the characteristics of such. How does that work?

Here is a pretty alien vehicle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=C3u0B47fGCQ

You must understand that not all human testimony is equal. The testimony of NASA astronauts and high level politicians and military officials is not as easily dismissed as the testimony of average citizens. Furthermore, the case for Alien visitation does not rest entirely on human testimony but also on thousands of videos, photographs, air traffic control and radar contacts, and radiological analysis of landing sites, to name only a few. In light of these other kinds of evidence, the possibility of some of the testimony being more than simply hysteria and projection rises dramatically. When we can see for ourselves clear footage of craft that defy all mundane explanations and do not match any known human technology, we have less reason to doubt the testimony of people who claim to have seen similar things.

Obviously the ability to move through space, accelerate, hover in place, decelerate , reverse direction, swoop, dive and tilt in this fashion clearly indicates a piloted or directed craft, and rules out birds, clouds, planets, stars, asteroids, weather balloons, and all other mundane explanations for UFOs. You understand this clearly, as does everyone else.

I do not need to know the specific characteristics of craft to know that no known phenomenon is capable of these maneouvers, and the only remaining possibilities are alien craft or covert human craft.

Your rebuttals are characteristically so weak as to require no refutation, but I give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you really are as weak-minded as you pretend to be.
