Usually I won't smoke Salvia for months. Then I'll do it three times in one evening. The third trip did seem a little less intense, but you could counter that with some extra Salvia.
Overall I think there is reverse tolerance. I can notice much smaller doses than I used to.

Im not sure this fits in here, but when i smoke salvia leaf, something happens. When I smoked it, my nose started running, my back started feeling a bit rubbery, my left big toe started to feel very strange, and my left elbow had this not so intense, but just out of place feel to it.

Now...my nose fucked up pretty recent to that time, my back has always had problems, and my toe i broke 4 months prior. I wasnt sure what what with the elbow thing, but it wasnt very strong, just a presence. Now about 3 months later, that elbow is giving me some shit.

Im not gonna swear by it, but this struck me as very fucking strange, and I started reading up on the crazy plant and it seems as though it had somewhat the same use in shamanic practises. The ill were given salvia and then could tell exactly where a problem was originating from. Something like that. I was excited to hear that and find that I wasnt alone, and although the experience is wild and not too likable, there is a medicinal value to this plant. Good shit.

Thats pretty neat...

I've heard of shamans using mescalito to help determine illness in patients...the patient gets a small dose, if i recall correctly...

No slam on Native Americans, but despite the usage of peyote in healing ceremonies, the life-span and health of the average NA is significantly less than European Americans. While I know there are many other variables at work here, it does appear that peyote's power to affect physical well-being is minimal.

Swami, such healings are more in tune with the spirit than modern medicinal practices...in fact it may even be all in the mind. I don't recall where i read this, but im sure if your interested a quick search can tell you more information...i don't particularily feel a need to try and 'convince' you.

I'd just like to say that not a year ago i didn't believe in anything. Not god, astral projection, aliens, psi,....NOTHING. Why? because i had no reason to. I had never talked to god, been abducted, or what have you. My interest in spirituality and shamanism however eventually lead to some unexplicable occurances which show me there is more to reality than....reality.

I got my salvinorin-a and my god is this a small amount. I'm going to have a difficult time in weighing this.

Put the smallest amount you possibly can into the bong or whatever and torch the shit out of it....the smallest possible amount now...you hear?

In fact you should meditate on a small extract and 'prepare' yourself....get the feel again, seek acceptance....

1mg is really high, you need more like 0,5mg. I read it's best to vaporize it. Daniel Siebert used foil, a lighter and a tube. Hold the lighter under the foil with salvorin. Suck through the tube.

MindTrap has the pure crystal form of Salvinorin A (the active chemical in Salvia). It is advised not to use this stuff unless you have a very accurate scale. They say you just can't eyeball this dose.

MindTrap, how much Salvinorin A do you have?

Why did you buy the pure stuff then? 50mg is quite a lot of trips. You could dilute it in alcohol and make a tincture out of it. That would be easier to dose.

Funny, I was of the opinion that it was worthless shit as well. But now that I think about it,that's what I've heard a whole lotta people tell me about DXM...so...perhaps a small test is in order.

I just wonder if there's anyway to potentiate the stuff.
and if non-extracted is worth the trouble...but i suppose I'll have to look those questions up..won't I?? :smirk:

I doubt it, since salvinorin-A doesn't contain any nitrogen. MAOIs inhibit enzymes that break down compounds that have an amine group (nitrogen and hydrogen) in them. But no one really knows how salvinorin works. An interesting observation is that salvinorin is a psychoactive terpene, and that there is synergy with another psychoactive terpene: THC.
