I had a post typed up, but then i just saw Ice's last post. I definitely agree with him.

Enjoy what you have for now Freedom, because it seems like a very rare thing indeed. Don't delude yourself into certainty, because if that delusion is shattered, it will fucking crush you.

I agree I was speaking about right now. Only recently have I appreciated how few real friends I've had and even amongst them, nothing compares to the way my girlfriend opens me up to the world. Really to be honest I have always felt like I was against everything in society and having this one person know me so well and still be deeply attracted to me, that is not something I would trade easily. To have someone who honestly believes in you is a powerful treatment for death anxiety.

Of course I am still learning soon I'll be enlightend obviously then I'll no longer need this crutch :smile:

But really that is an optimistic vision, to have my own inner power or emotional stability or whatever you want to call it, and I think if that optimisitic vision comes to be I wouldn't need her the same way if at all. Who knows what would happen in such a case.

I genuinely dont know what to think about this one, and usually end up standing down with an apathetic following of the live and let live philosophy.

I mean, there is the whole...but what are you funding? over ethical crap for the new age the world is ending and we have to save it tribe...and there is the fuck it, if its there, and its clean... tribe.

I was kidnapped by prostitutes when I was a teenager...true story (I managed to escape the next day).  No violins, I am completely over it, almost as if it didnt happen...seems like some old movie I watched a while ago at the cinema now...but interested to see all the same how adding a detail like that might affect things (if at all)...the fact that each of these people have had experiences leading to and because of their career that you will never know about, even if they say things are ok.

I still dont know what to think...before my experience I was very much one of the "proactive" style "I'm all for it, women can do what they want" crowd...and to an extent, I still am...but, within this context it doesnt feel as straight foward ...but rather, my brain melts until I am forced into my apathetic live and let live stance by default.

Its certainly a good stir up of the old free will debate.

While i have not been kidnapped by hookers, I have two memorable experiences with prostitutes from my childhood.

Once when I was around 7 years old, my dad left me in a truck stop motel room. He told me he would be back in 15 minutes but didn't come back for hours, so I went out looking for him. Some ladies of the night were working outside the hotel, they looked after me for the night, taught me some invaluable life lessons and bought me a can of coca cola.

The second time, maybe around 9 or 10 years of age, was when my dad left me in the car park of a casino, in his car. Again, that 15 minutes took a bit longer than expected and again I went wandering. This time, the ladies were less than friendly and I got lectured for about 3 hours about how all men are pigs.

Both times I was rather underwhelmed with the caliber of human presented before me.

Somaholiday, as a conventional rule of polite conversation you cannot bring up such a strange story and not expand upon it. I think it is your duty to tell your story of love and loss at the hands of those child abducting street walkers.
