Er, wha? pyramidal white casing?

If you mean the lighter two casings in the pic of the 9, they look that way cause they have plastic lids on. They all have crumbled colonized BRF as the substrate, and coco/verm as the casing layer. The uncovered trays are EQ and the covered two are TC. 

Or maybe i'm stoned and you're trying to funnily refer to the joint, in which case it's substrate is skanky mexican weed :wink:

It's good that your getting into casings but IMO you should really use more than 1pint of crumbled BRF for a casing. I'd go for a 2-3" layer at the minimum.
But my bulk logic might not run along with BRF casings as I'm just used to doing 6" straw layers as a minimum. As an isolated batch of "experiments" I guess this is good but I'd still have used more substrate.

I told my friend that the deeper the casing, the bigger the mush, but he did them like that. I dunno, his stuff, his way. I'm sure it'll work out to be a happy harvest anyhow.

By the way, take a look at my avatar. It's hard to read, but that's a County Sheriff's Dept Evidence sticker. A computer got stolen out of my car, along with the stereo, but the cops actually found it and got it back to me!
