hey nixxon, looking good.

so that is 6" of poo ?. Is this your first time with poo?

i have a big tub in my room with about 2inch of poo/straw in...colonizing with GT spawn.

Looking at your choice at going for 6" im thinking i may have to put some more substrate in mine to bring it up to 4" or so.......Do you think this will dramatically increase the yields i get off it ?

Yah it's roughly 6" of poo in there, and this is my first time dealing with poo. I could have done what you did and put a 2" layer right inside the bin but research reveiled that larger flushes do come with depth, so I basicaly cut my bin in half and put a single 6" layer in, but I hope to make that up with a larger yeild and larger fruit, that is if it doesn't fall to the contamination which truck last night.

yea, contams suck.

if that 6" of poo contams it will be a real shame.....i think i will stick with my 2" poo because your log has scared me into thinking i may lose my poo to contams :/

Well the I got two types of contams. One was on one of the casings that, about a week ago before any signs of contaminations, shared the same terrarium as the poo. The thing is it's only the casing soil thats contaminating, so I'm thinking that the poo should be okay. The other contamination I got was one that is air born and seeks out grain and contaminated that, so my straw and dung bin so far are looking in the clear, but only time will tell.

ive had quite a few contam problems.....most of the time i was able to catch the contam quite early and dig it out.

i would just dig the contam out with a sterile spoon, spray the area with some peroxide and patch....most of the time it would work brilliantly.

The entire top casing layer on the casing is contamed, and every one of the rye grain jars is contamed on the inside so... unforutnatly that ain't gonna help me much, but I definatly won't be casing my dung bin for a couple of days, or even opening it up. Gonna clean the room once a day for the next two or three days until I feel that it is safe to go back to work. Then I gotta start again.

aye, everything that had any second hand contact with my contams has been removed from the room, and liberaly soaked with bleach/water mix.

Okay well with my recent huge contamination problem I'm abit paranoid, and I'm fairly certain this isn't what I think it is, but does this picture look like contamination to any of you?


I see mycelium piss, as it is so affectionatly known as, but it's always good to get a second opinion as I've never seen it before.

looks like the infamous yellow mycofluid. but its all good since this yellow fluid is an antibody to keepout contams. mycelliuims immune system if u want to say it like htat?

All curled up the longest one was about 12 inches, uncurled it came to something like 14. There was one 12 incher and then another 11 incher that was meatier and actually weighted more.
