Dam I fit alot of those I put the first one, but I coulda put the last as well For the whole Shroomery -but mainly my main chill pad- S&P&S - is to meet and share with people who are uasally fundamentally of like mind, yet still have often enlightened (IMHO) opinions and something to teach me
Enter you have taught me -Christianity(in this case) still is quite ignorant and arogant -Reminded me of what I love about Christianity -Reminded me of some fundamental beleifs we share
No Flame intended..

I chose 'Other'... I post here because 1. The Shroomery has one of the most active AND open-minded philosophy boards on the internet that I've found. 2. The regulars on this forum are 10 times more intelligent than the average pink. 3. I think the majority of people here share a similar view of psychedelics... That is, they are powerful drugs that can help us learn alot about our psyches, the world around us, other people, and they can help broaden our horizons. BUT, they must be respected and not abused. 4. I have this "insane" desire to communicate with people who are very far away from me (who, therefore will have a different perspective than me). 5. Since I've been posting here.... I feel like you guys and gals are another one of my groups of friends with whom I socialize and philosophize. 6. The Shroomery's "Commitment to Excellence"!!

I came to discuss the cultivation of mushrooms, I stayed for the wacked out conversation. I visit every day though out of habit. It's still good times though.

I first came here for mush cultivation as cktc. I came back because I noticed this place is as good as it gets when it comes to message boards. A diverse group of people seemingly in control. I think this place has some very interesting untapped potential considering the love and concern I see go through these forums, I could'nt help but catch some of it . I feel sooo damn lucky just to have found this place.

as long as i ignore OTD, i can say that i like the people here. but with OTD, it not only lets the bbs provide that philosophical discussion i cant find elsewhere, but lets me be entertained by ban wars and the such. its quite fun to watch the destruction.

Ah...
never mind.

Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

A typo. Look to the left of the 'i'.
I voted 'other'.
My main reason is mushrooms as in mushrooms in general.
The people are secondary but high on the list. I have never met such great people in my life, in the physical or the virtual realms but without mushrooms I would vanish in the wind. I am an introvert. Which is why I like mushrooms. I hunt them in the quiet dark lonely recesses of the woods far away from the maddening crowd. I study them in the lab in the same way.

1) I like anything that carries the torch for the psychedelic movement.
2 )I feel that in the long run, people taking mushrooms and other psychedelics is a good thing. The Shroomery is helping to make that possible in a way never imagined before.
3) Altered states of conciousness is my biggest interest, so I come here to discuss topics of that nature.

I'm here for the mycology. I've been identifying mushrooms for a long time and been an on-call poison center consultant for mushroom poisonings and thought it might be good to try and see if I could prevent a few poisonings from ever happening or getting to an emergency room.
In the meantime, I've gotten to see some photos and descriptions of mushrooms that don't grow where I live, so I've been getting better at identification on some of those. It doesn't hurt that there's other people here who are also good at IDing so if I say something wrong or stupid I get caught and have to rethink what I said.
Once all that got under way, I ended up making a few friends online. And that's pretty cool, too.
-------------------- Happy mushrooming!
