New Moon or Full Moon? Which do you prefer for amplifying psychic/spiritual work?

As the title states...just wondering which moon energy is best to work with, in your experience.

It depends. Lunar energies can be very specific, depending on what sign the moon is traveling in. Moons in scorpio, pisces, or cancer are the best for intuitive work.

I like the full moon, actually one day before or one day after. Just for the beauty of  it. Other then that I'm not sure if it has much effect on me.

Waning - introversion, self-inquiry, visualization, divination, etc.
Waxing - extroversion, socializing, artwork, ritual, etc.

These things just seem generally enhanced at those times.
It's said that long-term projects are best begun under waxing moon.

It's best to harvest fruits at full moon as they are 10-20% more juicy.
It's best to harvest herbs at new moon as they cure more quickly.

My friends meditation group believes Full Moon is best time for meditation do to the gravitational pull on the water in the spiritual glands or something like that. Its also interesting because the pineal gland is supposedly filled with water.

the full moon and waning crescent moon have always been the ones i prefer.

i guess my reason is because these two moons are associated with shiva-- but i also think that they are verr nice to look at.

if i can, i will sync my spiritual activites with either of these moons-- but it is not a necessity and often i forget and only am reminded when i look up at the night sky.

The full moon is my proper for rituals involving communication, spiritual journeys/awakenings
metamorphosis, and often anamalism/instinctual behavior and rituals involving
clarity of emotion or purpose.  I often join a few of my friends for a full moon ritual
that simply thanks the active and inactive forces/dieties in our life, and asks for
them to notice us as they churn through our brief sections of time and space.


The new moon is good for dream-quests and other introspective  purposes.  Bloodletting &
scarification is done for me on new moons, and usually my new moon rituals are private
endeavors, used to focus personal energies through the dark lunar pathways that open.
The night of the New Moon is a night of subterfuge and obfuscation.

Just my thoughts :heart:

Just Love.

The full moon, to me, always felt empowering.

Although on the nights it is a new moon I feel quite calm, knowing a cycle is beginning to repeat itself.
