Some finds NSW, AU

Thought it was a little early for this season, but we picked a bit of L deliciosus and these today in the Blue Mountains..

P subaeruginosa..



Found, (but didn't pick) these cute guys too...





Anyone know what this is? Is it edible? I realise I haven't provided a lot of info, but if the consensus is that they could be quite tasty I can go back and collect more information, if it's obvious they aren't I wont bother..

I thought it'd be way to early to see any subs out yet. I presume it gets quite cold up in those mountains though.

Yes, I thought it was too early too. I know of a few patches and they were all completely empty except for these few. I will probably go back in the next few weeks and try again.

Still have the feeling I'm looking in sub-optimal habitat as I never find more than a few in a one particular area.
