what happened in Fort Hood?

Just saw something on tv refering to the tragedy in Fort Hood earlier this week. What happened?

An army major went nuts and shot up the place.  Killed 12 I think and injured many others.

I feel so terrible, though, and this is the first time I've felt bad since the death toll in the Middle East hit 2k.

i'm really not a racist (well, everyone is a racist to some extent) but anybody named Nidal Malik Hasan, whether he was born on USA soil or not, should not be allowed in the military.
and if he/they are, they should be only on assignments that have nothing to do with iraq/afganistan/muslim holy land etc.

this could have been avoided.

That's not a reasonable approach. I think some caution maybe but nothing that drastic, that isn't fair.

what about people named Jose Gonzales who were born in foreign countries, should they be allowed in the US military?

Honestly we should just not let muslims joins the military, or fly on planes if the government really wants people to be safe.  Its racist but its the GOD DAMN TRUTH.
