I'm not even going to watch those videos, but just say this:
2012 is an opportunity for growth, simply because so many civilizations point to it as a time of change
What I'm saying is, you have to go with pascal's wager on this; it's more worth it to believe than not to believe
If you believe 2012 is the end of an age, you may be more encouraged to give up old personal ideas and even have the courage to give up ideas that are centuries old that make up the foundation of our civilization
I'm not saying "2012 is the truth" or "2012 is the end of the world"; all I'm saying is that, for some people, buying into the hype would be worth it, if that's what it takes to get them to change
That's not really an opinion, it's just fact. Many people will change in 2012 not because they feel entitled to change or they were pre-destined to change, but because 2012 will be the equivalent of making a New Years resolution and the willingness to work on it will push it through

Well you have to tell me what you mean by 2012 coming to fruition. Because you could be thinking that I believe in something that I really don't..
I don't believe in any mass consciousness change
I don't believe in an apocalyptic event on Dec 21, 2012
ET visitation is possible but I don't have faith in it
I just believe that 2012 will be, like any other opportunity, like going to church at the right time, or being an astronaut and getting launched into space, that 2012 will be a time and space that will obviously be the breeding ground for spiritual growth in certain individuals; mostly those who have a lot of ideas about "being the change you want to see"; making 2012 into a self-fulfilling prophecy
I don't remember the first time I heard about 2012. It was probably in 2005 when I first heard about it, probably from listening to Terrence Mckenna talking about novelty.
This was during a time when I was taking a lot of psychedelics and I was getting messages broadcasted to me on the radio such as "Everyone must get ready; love is the only way"
Totally schizophrenic (probably). Probably why I don't do psychedelics recently.

Basically I'm just trying to say 2012, as an idea or a meme, is a metaphor, or a representation, for opportunity.
However the movie and most of the myths around it have to do with PRE-DETERMINED change and apocalypse
I'm saying that there's nothing set in stone, but if you want to believe in change, and 2012 is an attractive date for you, then why not make it a self-fulfilling prophecy if it helps your goals?
I feel like there is a miscommunication between us. I don't care about any of that fear-mongering and conspiracy shit. What a drag.
