Here sample text:

Failed Stated Purpose – Mandatory Under Codex
Interestingly enough, although their stated purpose is to “Protect the Health of Consumers”, the opposite seems to be true. Codex has rules for absolutely everything we can legally put into our mouths, except pharmaceuticals.

rBGH
Under Codex, every cow raised for food must be treated with Monsanto's Bovine somatotropin (Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone). Because of the way the market works, consumers pay up to and over $3.00 a gallon for milk, yet farmers make just over $1.00. There is in fact, too much milk being produced for us to even consume or use. This, especially recently, has lead to the destruction of many milk producing farms. Ironically enough, what was massively marketed and pushed on farmers as a “profit maximizer” by Monsanto, could turn out to be the end of many farmers. 1

rBGH is a synthetic hormone, which was created by Monsanto that stimulated IGF-1, in turn increasing milk production. IGF-1 is a natural hormone created by cows and humans alike that causes accelerated growth in infants. But it is accepted as scientific fact that adverse reactions are documented in non-infants, in which it behaves as a Cancer accelerator. This hormone has most notably been linked to the cause of breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, and colon cancers. 1 In fact, for pre-menopausal women, the risk of breast cancer increases 7 fold if they consume milk produced by a cow on rBGH. 2

Monsanto has done it's best to try and snuff out any attempts at having non-hormone laced milk sold. Lobbying to ensure that hormone-free milk does not get labeled and sold as such, since it could be a huge draw to possible consumers, and ultimately damage their bottom line. Organic Valley milk, and Ben and Jerries ice-cream both are produced with no rBGH for those interested. 3

Codex Tyranid

Embrace the hive mind. They are surrounding the galaxy and will eventually consume all of our organic matter. It is only a matter of time.

Seriously.  You guys can believe whatever you want, but bottom line, you'll probably die from cancer if you live in the states.

The people who feed you and make everything you use give you cancer so you can go to the medical corporations to try to cure you, and all the while the people who feed you and the medical corporations are having secret buttsecks.

Ever wondered why girls are getting periods earlier and earlier, and more and more breast cancer? Bovine growth hormone!

Codex alimentarius is the codeword for plagues and misery. Amongst other things, it bans the sale of vitamin and mineral tablets, making them prescription only (like piracetam and numerous other drugs that are safe, but forgotten). It forces taxes on organic food, to price it out of the market and force more people to go for dangerous, steriliity and cancer causing genetically modified food.

Codex Alimentarius is responsible for the mentality behind the FDA claiming cheerios is a drug and asking for them to retract the claims that *gasp* oats lower cholesterol!

Look, this UN "world law" is fucking bad news for everyone's health, and it's going to be a massive, massive boon for the pharma's profits.

But I know more and more of you know this isin't bullshit, and will go and research codex alimentarius for yourself. Clue yourself up, decide for yourself if you want to choose what you can put into your body, or if the UN should choose for you. Once you've made that decision, join us, or die. That's the only choice really. Life with cancer is not life.

Girls are getting periods quicker in the united states due to our high fat content, not growth hormone. At least, that is what the majority of scientists think. Time magazine had a spread a while back.

Vitamins and minerals should be regulated in my opinion. There is no system for knowing how much of each "essential element" is in each vitamin, because they are unregulated. I would rather have a pure vitamin tablet that are standardized dosages. But, this is just my opinion.

Despite all your points, we have increasing life expectancies in the United States. Cancer rates, while alarming, are likely due to our longer life spans more so than our environmental pollutants - though I do not negate the effect of pollutants and toxins.

some scientists think...

other scientist are studying the hormone and it's effect on
cows, with rBST they've found it increases IGF-1, a polypeptide
protein hormone that acts as a messenger for human growth
hormone in humans, these bovine 'growth' hormones extend the
milk production cycle by preventing 'mamary death', they arent
for producing fatter or meatier cows

studies have been done that show that the majority of these vitamins arent even absorbed by the body, you'll just be paying for something that passes through, vitamins and suppliments are in fact regulated, investigate the FDCA and you'll see

it's great to know you're all for regulating some things but
probably also want your drugs legalized, quite the double standard

we're told that we have a longer life expectancy, we're told
this is attributed to medical science, what about wars, we've
fought far fewer, the 2 that we've had in the last 50 years
surely has dropped that life expectancy... genetics plays a
greater role in life expectancy than the advanced quackery we
call medicine. in my family it's not uncommon for us to live
into our 90s and none of us are doctor dependent, there's only
been one person with cancer, my grandmother, diagnosed and
treated 4 times over the last 50 years, she's in her 90s now
her cancer was occupation related, she worked in an asbestos
mill and as a welder

environmental factors play an increasingly large role in cancer
as well as other illnesses, the studies are out there including several that link rBST to cancer

Good points! I will let the research guide us on the effects of hormone.

Despite the fact that vitamins are not absorbed easily, that does not mean that we should not have systematic ways of knowing what we are ingesting. Regulating would help this process and reduce faulty claims.

I have no double standard in regard to drugs. I wish they were regulated as well so as to obtain quality and potency - this has nothing to do with legalization, but regulation.

Thank you for your the anecdotal evidence regarding your grandmother. Good day sir!

you mean like the list of ingredients on the vitamin bottles,
like I said, read the FDCA and you'll see that the regulation is
already there

ah yes, anecdotal evidence is always discounted as opposed to
'majority scientists' who have nothing to do with studies of
these growth hormones that 'think' that it's fat that's causing
changes in the development of humans and your belief that the
increase in rates of diagnosis in cancers are due to longer
lifespans without taking into account the increase in cancerin
young people makes up a large portion of that

please feel free to prove me wrong on genetics and environment
playing a more important role in longevity, it also plays a
large role in cancer resistance

check this out, vitamin supplement labeling

yup... more redundant legislation required for the uninformed
that's too lazy to look at the bottle and read the label

Are vitamin companies required to undergo "Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)"?

I can read a label, but I would like to ensure that the label is accurate.

Precautions and Tips on Choosing Vitamin Supplements

It is important that one be very careful in choosing a top quality supplement manufacturer. Some reasons are:

1. There is a wide degree of efficacy between the much cheaper synthetic vitamins many manufacturers use and more expensive natural ingredients. Even among the natural ingredients, wide variations in potency exist.

2. Because vitamins work synergistically, it is crucial that your supplement be formulated by scientists with top notch credentials. Many products on the market are simply “thrown together” and many of the ingredients can end up canceling each other out or even have harmful consequences.

Moreover, supplements that are not scientifically formulated generally have poor bioavailability, which means that most of the ingredients will simply pass through the system and excreted with little to no benefit.

3. Because the supplement industry is unregulated in the U.S., consumers only have about a 1 in 5 chance of buying a product with the ingredients stated on the label -- and product contamination is an even more serious issue. It is therefore absolutely crucial that you choose a manufacturer that follows pharmaceutical GMP compliance, which is the highest standard possible.

4. Call or email the company and ask if they have a certificate of analysis on file, confirming the potency of each batch. Avoid companies that do not respond or waver.

read the FDCA and you'll see that they're subjected to the same
guidelines as any other food product, cant make health claims,
cant misrepresent the contents, must contain salmonella and rat feces

How Vitamins are Regulated

Vitamin products are regulated by FDA as "Dietary Supplements." The law defines dietary supplements, in part, as products taken by mouth that contain a "dietary ingredient" intended to supplement the diet.

Listed in the "dietary ingredient" category are not only vitamins, but minerals, botanicals products, amino acids, and substances such as enzymes, microbial probiotics, and metabolites. Dietary supplements can also be extracts or concentrates, and may be found in many forms. The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 requires that all such products be labeled as dietary supplements.

In June 2007, FDA established dietary supplement "current Good Manufacturing Practice" (cGMP) regulations requiring that manufacturers evaluate their products through testing identity, purity, strength, and composition.
