things just kind of tie together when you stop looking at the pretty flowers, how is the government going to strip food of nutrition? they arent the farmer, the cant order the farmer to do it, he simply doesnt have the means or the will, so where would the government go to help achieve the agenda

Okay, I guess, but you're begging the question there because your first premise hasn't been proven.

Cancer isn't on the rise. It's decreasing.

I'm sorry, but this whole thread seems to be making a mountain out of a molehill. I suppose if you look for conspiracies you can 'find' them anywhere but you'd be much better off expending your energy on some real issues, like old buildings in your neighbourhood that are potentially contaminated with asbestos yet isn't marked as such by an incompetent local government. You know, threats that are real.

a great deal of the modified seed is sold in 3rd world nations,
in india the seeds are responsible for suicide increase among
farmers... google it

where exactly do you see a molehill, I see a government approved
corporate monopoly forming, a system where one has to buy seed
from a certain company annually, a system where spraying
herbicide is becoming common practice, where lawsuits are being
filed agains companies that dont wish to use a product that
could well be linked to cancer and the litigant is winning.
I also see the mandatory tracking of livestock being put into
place... you see a molehill because you buy your food at a
market, I see a mountain because I grow your food
personally, I could give a shit if the rest of the world dies
off, I have clean water and wholesome food, I'm in good shape

yep and for each one uncovered that are legit, there's a hundred
people talking about tin foil hats, so what's a man to do, I'll
share what I know, you dont wanna listen, doesnt make a damn to
me, but what happens if this conspiracy turns out to be somewhat
true, if the food supply is being depleted of nutrients and you
suddenly decide you want mine... you think I'm gonna share?
I'd be obligated by law not to let you eat

I'm breaking out my tin foil hat

Quote:
#  Who is at risk for an asbestos-related disease?

Everyone is exposed to asbestos at some time during their life. Low levels of asbestos are present in the air, water, and soil. However, most people do not become ill from their exposure. People who become ill from asbestos are usually those who are exposed to it on a regular basis, most often in a job where they work directly with the material or through substantial environmental contact.

That's a good article. It paints a picture of a world where the cancer burden is shifting to the third world. Improvements to diet and reduction in smoking is lowering the incidence rate, and advances in treatment is increasing the survival rate. It's quite amazing that by removing the traditional salted meat & fish from the European diet they've had such a great reduction in stomach cancer!
I'll refine my original statement. Cancer is declining in the western world, but increasing in the third world. There's obviously a lot more work to be done.

Bring it all back on-topic:

1. Can anyone find any evidence that the CA are going to reduce the nutrients in our food and supplements?
2. Can anyone find a good, plausible reason why they'd want to do that?

CNN claiming vitamins are unhealthy:

You need to pay closer attention.. the report is about overdose on said vitamins.  Go to the store and notice that many vitamin specific pills are ~15X the daily dose per tab.

When I see major agricultural corporations aggressively pushing their genetically modified and sterile products on farmers, increased use of un-vetted pesticides and herbicides, and the proliferation of these practices into the third world..  I see greed, not conspiracy.

In the end, when I think about the state of humanity, it is impossible to reconcile our behavior against nature's absolute and unquestionable dominance over us.  There is no way that 15 billion people can live on Earth, as is projected by 2100.  At some point over the course of the next 100 years billions of people are going to die.  This is inevitable.  Count on this plague coming from India or China, where high densities of people live in direct proximity to high densities of livestock.  That proximity is a virtual Eden to new forms of avian flu making the leap to human-human communicability.  H5N1 was 50% lethal to humans and it evolved in exactly this fashion.  Enjoy the party now, because we are doomed.

You are the enemy.  You drive everywhere.  You heat your home.  You cool your home.  You buy plastics by the pound, daily.  You eat and drink out of plastics.  You eat bought meat.  You shower every day.  You shelter yourself from the elements.  You cover yourself in chemicals for vanity.  You buy food from the machine.  You are an obsessive consumer.  You are as separated from the natural conditions of life as an astronaut is separated from the earth's atmosphere.  In the last 300 years humanity has taken one giant step away from nature and the bulk of life on Earth, and you can be assured that the simple human body is not capable of adapting that fast.

It is simple evolution.  The fittest will survive.  Have you outfitted yourself?

I really think some of you are looking at a bunch of facts and stringing together an unfounded web of intent that just doesn't exist.  The American government isn't trying to make us sick so we're easier to control.  That's just stupid.  The decline in food quality is just another example of the growth of capitalism.  It sucks, and it's an example of the disgusting side of human nature.  But it isn't driven by any ill intent; as a matter of fact I think the reality that it's just a natural progression of human civilization is even more terrifying.

I guess what you're saying is that access to medicine is what
the world needs, westernized medicine, the same medicines
developed by companies like Upjohn, the subsidiary of Monsanto
yeah, it all makes perfect sense

I guess japan being a far eastern country wouldnt make it part
of the westernized world, I wonder why there's an increase in a
country that has medicine that rivals that of the westernized
nations... in fact Brittan claims the incidents of cancer are up
but so are the survival rates, maybe your illusion of cancer is
on the decrease is with death by cancer or you're citing the
momentary slump

One example is bowel cancer which used to be extremely rare in Japan. But as the Japanese increasingly eat a westernised diet, rates of the cancer increase.

but again, the westernized world doesnt have to worry about it

Six Reasons Why Cancer Rates Among Teens are on the Rise
By Dr. Joseph Mercola
    with Rachael Droege

Cancer is now the leading cause of death among teens and young adults after accidents in England. Among this 13 to 24-year-old age group, cancer rates have been increasing at a rate of 1.2 percent per year for the past two decades. The researchers mention genetic factors, lifestyle changes and exposure to toxins before birth as possible causes for the increase, but there are many more possibilities for the steady increase.

I dont really understand how you could be aware and living in todays world and not be a conspiracy theorist. There's so much evidence backing a lot of the so called conspiracies, but it's not even necessary b/c those in power depend on ignorance. They know the majority of the population isnt hip to what's really happening, and that makes it much more simple. With systemic ignorance and rampant propaganda they are winning the fight for the human body and mind. I personally feel as if it's my duty to protect the two things you actually have control of, because in the not so distant future that control will be lost.

micro chips in animals to track them, even for the small farmer,
no one is exempt if any of the meat will be taken off the farm
or the animal auctioned off, it puts everyone in the chain of
custody of the animal in liability if there's a problem like a
recall for tainted meat, the meat wasnt the breeders
responsibility since his cattle were auctioned after a few weeks
of birth
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Animal_Identification_System#Concerns

but wait... the chips cause cancer in the animals they're implanted in? but the FDA assured us they were safe
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/08/AR2007090800997_pf.html

plain old fashioned bullshit is right, that's why independent
researchers are continually discrediting the FDA on the
'bullshit' they feed the public, how about we call the
bullshit/conspiracy what it really is, profiteering, government
gets kickbacks, doctors get kickbacks, large corporations get
kickbacks,  everyone profits but the end user, we just get dead

In Canada, the government is passing a bill limiting "therapeutic products" which are natural health products and drugs, but not pharmaceuticals.  The bill allows for police state powers for the health Canada officials who can enter your house without a warrant and seize your bank account and possessions for selling natural health products, like hemp lip balm for example.  It also allows the government to implement laws of foreign bodies, like the UN's CA.  It is starting here, we have the vitamin police coming.  The pharmaceutical companies are in on this, they want to get rid of the natural cures and preventions of many illnesses so they can sell you PILLS, LOTS AND LOTS OF PILLS!!!!

--------------------
"A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe'; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.

Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security."
