government doesnt feed the people now, they also dont have to
spend a dime of the money, all they have to do is turn a blind
eye while monsanto distributes seed. seed that produce plants
capable of resisting the effects of their herbicides, food crops
they currently have developed are soy, corn, sorghum and canola
and they're workiing on wheat

not bad for a chemical company suddenly switched to biotech, as
a chemical company they developed the hydrogenation process fo
vegetable oils that doctors are giving warning about, they've
also developed the artificial sweeteners used in soft drinks and
diet sweets, they are the creators of roundup the 'non-toxic'
weed killer

you should do a little reading
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monsanto
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roundup

Quote:
In June 2007, Monsanto acquired Delta & Pine Land Company, a company that had been involved with a seed technology nicknamed "Terminator", which produces plants that produce sterile seed to prevent farmers from replanting their crop's seed, rather than purchasing the seed from Monsanto for every planting. In recent years, widespread opposition from environmental organizations and farmer associations has grown, mainly out of the concerns that these seeds increase farmers' dependency on seed suppliers (having to buy these each year for seeding new crops). However, Monsanto had publicly pledged not to commercialise terminator technology.

why would they go through all the R&D if they arent going
to sell the seed, it simply doesnt make any sense

Quote:
Throughout 2004 and 2005, Monsanto filed lawsuits against many farmers in Canada and the U.S. The lawsuits have been on the grounds of patent infringement, specifically the farmer's sale of seed containing Monsanto's patented genes–which require the farmer initial purchase of the seed and its technology–unknowingly sown by wind carrying the seeds from neighboring crops.

Quote:
Former Monsanto employees currently hold positions in US government agencies such as the FDA and EPA and even the Supreme Court. These include Clarence Thomas, Michael Taylor, Ann Veneman and Linda Fisher.[citation needed] Linda Fisher has even been back and forth between positions at Monsanto and the EPA.

or maybe it does make sense

"Monsanto should not have to vouchsafe the safety of biotech food. Our interest is in selling as much of it as possible. Assuring its safety is FDA's job." - Phil Angell, Monsanto director of corporate communications

Of course. It's obvious, with the growing percentages of children born with autism and various allergies. When i was a kid a had terrible allergies all the way up until a few years ago when i stopped eating garbage and started drinking water religiously. I also noticed a huge difference when i stopped consuming corn syrup.

things just kind of tie together when you stop looking at the pretty flowers, how is the government going to strip food of nutrition? they arent the farmer, the cant order the farmer to do it, he simply doesnt have the means or the will, so where would the government go to help achieve the agenda

who supplies 90%+ of the soybean market to the US farmers?
who has sued dairy  farmers for not using rBGH
who is suing dairy farmers for advertizing milk as being rBGH and rBST free
who has sued farmers for the sale of seed with genetic modification regardless of whether polen can be carried on the wind or by insects
Who has somethng to gain by encouraging local government to spray 'safe' herbicides to kill invasive weeds
who sells herbicide resistant seed for food crops

again... do a bit of reading, draw your own conclusions

Let's see what happens when people start dying. If anyone DIDN'T see this coming, then they obviously have no grasp of the dangers of a large subordinate population to an elite few.

This isn't conspiracy theory at all, this is common sense in a western mindset. Soon to be eastern mindset. Thanks for selling out, China

Yes, I agree, Monsantos practices appear to be highly unethical.  I think they should be sanctioned in some fashion... even with bio/pharma having such a large lobby, it seems like some of their practices must be in violation of FDA guidelines (or possibly even the Geneva Convention).

But is the scenario of all the nutrients being genetically removed from food feasible?  No.  When I read the first post all I could envision was the "precious bodily fluids" bit of Dr. Strangelove.

Even if we accept the hypothesis that this is their goal, it simply isn't possible.  You know what happens to us if we lack vitamins in our body; we get sick and die.  That's the whole hypothesis behind the plan, right?

Well plants are the same way.  Even if you were able to engineer a plant that was unable to take up or synthesize these vital nutrients, those plants would die.  Maybe not every one, but a good majority.  They're called vitamins for a reason.

Yes, GMOs are a potential problem.  But the idea they're going sap our precious bodily fluids of nutrients is silly.

consider the fact that 70% of the organic food market is
comprised of 4 corporations, Monsanto, Cargill, ConAgra and HJ
Heinz, these same 4 companies have ensured that GMO seed can be
used in organic production, that 5% of the total materials
applied to crops can be synthetic in nature, this by FDA  approval

maybe it's not to actually kill us but to increase our
dependency on their products, more supplements for increased
sales, maybe we just stay sick, we increase our visits to
doctors who in turn hand out more prescriptions and the
pharmaceutical companies have to do more business with the
chemical companies further bootsing profits, monsanto still
holds a good market share in chemicals through acquisitions,
mergers and affiliations

we can engeneer plants for sterile seeds, we can make more
bountiful harvests, herbicide restance, pest resistance, who say
they havent or arent developing plants that are capable of
producing with less nutrition, if the uptake is reduced the
vitamins in the final product is as well

with many of the current practices in agrculture, the use of
anhydrous ammonia and ammonium nitrate  the soil is already
being stripped of a few very important nutrients as well as
carbon, while the only thing being returned is nitrogen
our food has already lost some of it's nutritional value

yes... in fact the sterile seed program is in part funded by the
government but at the same time they also award grants to other
for research and have the option on first bid to buy what ever is
developed

So A.) The idea is patently ridiculous, B.) Implementation details? Sketchy. And C.) The world would overthrow the governments if it came to it...

Would they really?  Look at America, where most of the population is overweight, if not obese.  There's no uprising there to increase food quality.
Look at how many people have diabetes, or cancer, or bad allergies.  No uprising so far.
1 in 3 Americans die of cancer?  How the fuck did that happen?
Its a fact that fluoride, which does little to prevent tooth decay, but was put in the drinking water at concentration camps by the Germans to make the Jews more docile, is in our water all over the country.
I see no riots.
You feed people crap, tell them that its healthy, and if theres no one around to disprove you, then they're going to believe its healthy food.  Especially when everyone who's saying otherwise is denounced as a crackpot, then most people will follow the herd and think that its just a conspiracy theory.
