Well, legally you can be charged with a crime even if you didn't know whatever you did was a crime. Ignorance is never an excuse with the law. I think that is would apply in a moral situation as well. You can't tell me someone doesn't get a feeling of wrongness when something is wrong. I'm sure there are some people that may have joined for reasons that are completely honorable and they do deserve every single pat on the back they get.

I know there has to be people that joined with the intentions of doing nothing but good, and they may have went over to Iraq with the sole purpose of helping out people in need. Those types of people are good people, and if i knew them personally i would tell them i supported their own cause, but they are still guilty of being apart of whatever the military does as a whole, and therefore part of the larger issue anyways despite their good intentions.

If you join a group or organization without looking deeply into what they are all about, you should not be morally exempt for the things that are done just because you didn't bother to look into it first.

I know what the quote says in my sig, and i believe it applies to everything. Especially for the things i say, because i am far from perfect. I try to be enlightened about things before i open my mouth, but that doesn't mean I'm right. I just say what i feel is correct, and people should come to their own conclusions to the things they have questions about. Like anyone else tho, i voice my opinion.
