age old debate. I'm sure the cavemen ate shrooms, and debated weather it was appropriate to carry the spear in non-hunting situations.
The point is, you never know when shit will happen. Its best to be prepared for it. I like the idea of carrying a gun, because i don't want a situation to come about, where my life, or my family's lives are threatened, and i am left helpless to do anything about it.
Situations like this happen ALL the time. Maybe not to everybody, but to a lot of people. Random people. It doesn't matter if you live in a big city.
The day some asshole starts shooting. What will you say you did to help? Used your non-violent attitude to diffuse the confrontation?

Is that a trick question?
I'm not an N.R.A. member, but i assume the law states that you cannot carry the gun while intoxicated, not that you can't have a beer with dinner, and carry the gun.
Common sence would tell you that there is a differance between the two.

cultures, we are the hollywood action film of the world, we have all the guns
and less crime than previous years, you have no guns and more crime each year
more brutal murders involving gun than you legaly can own have in your country
I really dont understand how you guys arent terrified to leave your home for a
biscuit and tea, I mean now that they are stripping away your next line
of defense now that guns are only in the hands of criminals

the law in the way you handle it, leave them an uninjured assailant to prosecute
they;ll tip their hat and wish you a nice day, shoot them and they gotta do
paperwork or their job or something, that fucks up their night and you'll be
stuck with some unpleasantries yourself

I shot a man in the arm when I was 19.Tried to rob me with a knife.Still have his knife.
My grandfather told me " you will only need a gun for about 6 seconds in entire life for self defense. Be sure you can put your hand on it".
