My Biological sample of Mimosa hostilis just arrived.

It's also my 20th birthday today, so in a way- this is like a gift from god.

Still gotta get a mg scale(just ordered), an oil burner, and miscellaneous items for my Chemistry experiment. =0

Oh wow, I didn't think so many people would say happy birthday- this board sometimes seems a bit negative, but thanks everyone =)

I heard that Mimosa Hostilis doesn't have much fat, so it isn't necessary to defat. This will be my first experimentation extracting anything so I'm trying to keep it plain and simple.

There will be many more experimentation to come. Thanks for the input, any more is appreciated.

I wouldn't be surprised if I become a bit shell-shocked after my experience.

I felt numb and confused for about 3 days after getting out of a huge K-hole/mushroom trip.

UPDATE: The Lab grade NaOH has arrived today, and now have all the ingredients to run the experiment.

Just grounded up the entire pound.

I may get some latex gloves and start today.
