Anybody going to a Pagan Pride Day gathering.
    #868129 - 09/06/02 11:50 PM (21 years, 6 months ago)

PPD is Sept. 14th. There are gatherings all over the country. There is one in my town. I'm planning on going, but to be honest, I'm kind of hoping some fundamentalist Christians, or obnoxious reporters show up.

I am just curious....are these people pagans by the classical definition (polytheists) or are they pagans by one of the many contemporary definitions that people bastardize (wicca, black magic, satanists, etc) I have heard many definitions but it used to be a very broad term to encompass anyone that was a polytheist.

If the pagans are in actuality satanists then "HELL NO I wont be attending"

P.S. they be scary

I don't know. Probably if you asked every one of them, you would get a different answer from all of them. I am sure there is plenty of wicca involved, but if someone were into Taharuman Shamanism, they would probably be included into their definition of Pagan.

I have known some fundamentalist "pagans" who were kind of obnoxious.
