Stability of Psilocybin

How long do psilocybin containing mushrooms remain active? Will mushrooms that were dried carefully and stored under optimal conditions (even temperature, low humidity) still work after 10 years? 20? 30? Or will most the psilocybin/psilocin have degraded? Any relevant information or speculation will help. Thanks.

I personally can not testify to holding onto shrooms for thirty years however, if you have dried them out (I mean cracker dry) and store them in a cool, dry, dark place then they will last years.....how many years you ask...........why would you want to find out? I'll hold onto them for ya though :-)

Once dried and stored properly they should be fine. I still have a 1/4 oz for 3 years and they still work great!
