i just finished cooking mine. haven't gone to bed yet. started at 9:30 last night.

i ended up using the devil springs vodka. how long is average for all the crystalization to take place???

I've never used the 151 everclear. It should work, but I'd use the finished product as soon as possible. You still have 25% water in there. I can attest that if you use the 190 proof everclear, the end product will last for years.

Hmmmm...this is all VERY intersesting. I live in Iowa so the Everclear flows like water. I might have to try this out. How many(wet/dry weight) mushies do you use?

i started out with 1 ounce and ended up with this


4 fluid ounces. Used a whole liter of devil springs vodka. Wish it was everclear but shit is limited where I am.

What point is that at? It seems you still need to filter the solids off, then boil down to reduce the amount of liquid.

I've got a question..

Could you completely evaporate off all the liquid, use a desiccant, and make pills out of the extracted psilocybin/psilocin? Would there be potency loss?

psilocybin/psilocin breaks down rapidly when exposed to oxygen...its best to keep them suspended in alcohol to avoid this reaction.
it could be done but the potency would be reduced day by day in pill form

Why not make homeade liquid gels? Find a gel tabbing machine and once you get it down to a appropriately small amount of liquid, double boil warm it to reconstitute it and make some gels, no oxygen in a geltab if made right. and its still suspended in liquid.

Ps- I have no freaking clue how to make liqui-gels but Im certain it can be done, somehow.

yah im sure it could be done...but itd take some really expensive equipment and in turn make it rediculously expensive per dose to produce...personally i was lookin into it cause last time i grew...i had about 2lbs in the freezer dry...it took up too much space...if i had done this they coulda been contained in a couple small bottles and i most likely wouldnt have given it all away :frown:
i think back to that time and kick myself in the ass for handing out free shrooms to my friends just to get em outta the freezer...liquid is imo the best long term storage solution for mushrooms (personal use)and how ill store them in the future if the b+ will ever fucking fruit

had my guinnie pig run it last night. hits faster than usual. 10-20 minutes. slight stomch disturbance in the beginning. i beleive this is due to the high alcohol content and nothing else.

Couldent the extraction liqued be aplied to sheets like how LSD is made ???

Or that gelltab idea someone mentioned, You could just buy vitamin gelltabs, & Using a fine syringe inject it into the vitiman gelltab ????

hey thenewguy,
i live in brooklyn. if you go to nj you can get 190 proof alcohol. ny state max is 160 i think, but nj is 190.
