You know... it is possible to ground your spirituality in a holy book WITHOUT having to subscribe to the religion that uses said book. You seem like the type of person who could benefit from such a way of life.

You think too much about your spirituality... so why group yourself with the rest of the flock?

Besides, Jesus was a black sheep. All the REAL christians were (think Kierkegaard).

"Everyone is entitled to there beliefs..." ...and to argue about those beliefs, i think enters intention is to know our point of view, Sclorch shows his, i personaly agree with what he says. Being a religious person i once had the same dilema: "I believe in something but do i need to believe and follow a religion ?", i meditated about this issue for sometime, questions like "why so many religions to reach the same thing ? The same conclusion ?" , "Why most of them say they are unique and true ?" pop into my mind, fortunately i think i made the right questions... the conclusion was somewhat conforting, i don't have to believe in any religion because they don't give anything back in the way i see my own spirituality, most of the values they were created originaly were pure in intention but twisted by man to control man, do i need to be even more controled than i currently am ? No , can i get answers by learning and reading about those religions yet not having defined myself in any of those religions ? Yes i can , i mean why not ?, so, do i need a religion then ? The answers is obvious... for me that is.

Really? You mean this might have been the reason an entire church tried to exorcize the demons out of me because I dared to tell the truth? I never thought of that.

True story.

Think of it this way. Broad is the way that leads to destruction and many people go that way. In other words, when you see a bunch of people going in the same direction, i.e. orthodox Christianity, they are wrong. I see this as a general truism. Lemmings like people when rushing pell mell are most apt to be going in the wrong direction because they didn't stop to think about where they were going.

(I know the real story about Lemmings so please don't tell me about it)

Cheers and more,

My grandfather once told me all majorities are absurd, i think because they tend to impose their point of view and because they are greater in number they think they have the right to do so, my ass they do ! Only if they force me.
