Lemon Tek

After work tonight, around 9ish, I'm gonna kick it with some homies. Our plan is to smoke it up hell and try to trip off a few 8Th's of Liberty Caps. I've never done Liberty Caps before, all I've done were Blue Ringers and Cubensis. I've heard Liberty Caps are pretty cool. My question now is, would the lemon tek work really well with Liberty Caps and would it make em more potent. I've only done the Cranberry Tek and that was with Cubensis.

Tell me more about these lemon and cranberry teks.. I've been trying to find some truth about them, and how they truly should be done.

Just powder your dry shrooms, put the powder in a shot glass, fill with lemon juice, stir, let sit for 15 minutes, take the shot and finish off the powder left in the glass. The acidic juice extracts the alkaloids from the shrooms, dramatically increasing the absorption rate. You'll trip harder for a shorter amount of time.

Ahh, never mind that then, I like my trips long. =) I think I'll stick to chewing them up real good and swallowing, followed by a shot of lemon juice.

Well, LSDreamer just described the lemon tek. The cranberry tek is a little different. You just powder your shroomies, pour them in a small glass of 100% cranberry juice then microwave it for 30-40 seconds. You want it pretty warm but not hella hot. Let it sit for about 15 minutes then drink it all down, everything in the glass.

^I'd definitely recommend the lemon tek over that. Any psilocin that's left in your shrooms will be finished off. You're going to lose some potency.

Nope, nuke juice first, then add shrooms. Nuking the shroom powder might(?) kill the actives.

Also, I like doing the cranberry/lemon tek along with eating them. So you get the quick, intense come-up but it still levels out and lasts a long time.

Yeah, I know the lemon tek is better. I've done the cranberry tek with really potent cubensis quite a few times. I'm hella down for trying the lemon tek. I haven't really had any lemons around haha. But tonight, I shall.

chewing on them for 10-15 minutes and the lemon tek both work great...Doing both is probably the best way...take a shot of lemon juice before hand, chew them as long as possible and take some more lemon juice after. by the time you are done chewing them they will kick in soon after :smile:

Hmm, so basically what you guys are saying is, to put perhaps a ground half of an eigth in some lemon juice, let it sit for 15 minutes, and while it's sitting, eat the other half, then follow up with the juice/shroom mixture? It wont shorten the trip any?

Sounds like a perfect idea. It does not shorten the trip... not noticeably anyway. some people say otherwise

Hm, maybe I should just drink some lemon juice, cram all the damn shrooms in my mouth, chew 'em to hell, and chase it with more lemon juice. I don't care how hard it hits me, I like slow come ups and slow come downs, I just love a nice lengthy trip with a strong peak, though sometimes I need up to 5 grams with the same species and strain.. Must be potency variance in the grow methods..

This time though, I've got nice full powdery white colored stems with little bruising, and some full caps, 4 grams, should be nice no matter how I take them. Here's some of 'em right here. :laugh:



I accidently smushed one of the caps. It was beautiful. =(
