Lemon/Lime/Cranberry Juice Poll

Lets start showing some of our conclusions of the experiment in an organized fashion.

:smile:  Everybody needs to try one of the juices and then answer the poll.  It doesn't really help the community experiment to hear that we have 1,000 people that haven't tried it yet lol.

And since my results were buried in the other thread, I should point out here that when I tried the lemon juice experiment, I noticed NO increased effect. IMO it's all a trick of the mind, albeit very powerful.

there were some serious flaws in that experiment, some of the experienced trippers pointed them out. There is no potentiation from any of the juices.

Soaking your shrooms in water, juice or most liquids for an extended period of time will liberate the active chemicals from the mushroom mass.

Read the book "Buzzed", this topic is nothing new and has been studied with a lot more precioun than a bunch of druggies running a very subjective "experiment"
The only effect that anyone has come up with is "a faster come up, more intense peak and faster come down", pretty much the same effect of drinking tea. Our stomaches will absorb the chemicals faster in their aqueous forms than having to break down the mushroom fiber to get the actives out. Read the book "Buzzed" this is nothing new and has been studied in the past.

no kidding guys. the pH of the juice just allows the psilocybin to be more easily soluble in the liquid. the trip is not potentiated, just experienced in a higher and shorter peak since the chemical is allowed to rush into your body faster. its more comparable to taking straight psyloc(yb)in

More intense peak = potentiation to me lol. Even if it is only due to increased absorbtion rate from being in a liquid and a lower pH. If you will notice from they community experiment, 'Faster come up, more intense peak, shorter duration' are the noticeable differences. Some people, including myself, who have tried many different liquids over the years, are noticing that lemon juice seems to be the best liquid for those effects. It works for me, friends of mine, and others on these boards, unlike any other liquid. O well, the community experiment and the poll will continue I am sure.

And how exactly is the trip not potentiated if people get higher off the same amount?

Potentiation is an increase of the high regardless of the underlying mechanism, which probably indeed is absorption-related as I got the same result twice on 5% Ascorbic acid which has no mystery ingredients at all, just low pH.

Deficitism: would you want to re-create your poll in the experiment-thread? It's a double post but useful to get it in the same place. And please add "an organic acid solution" to the questions so that gets taken into the equasion too!

If you disregard those whjo did not yet imbided it looks that the slight to high potency guys are way ahead.
