It's the little deaths and the little births, second by second, breath in, and breath out.

i dont know, well perhaps its not the individaul but the collective will that must "will" someone or something to die but i, wish to die. and unfortunantly am still here, i am still waiting for that last beutiful moment of fleeting existance.
its not that i dont enjoy life but i exept my death and look forward to it more than anything else.

I also believe this. A man will only die if he accepts death (from old age), or that death can happen. If a man embraces life, and only life.. and has no concept of death, in theory he could be immortal.

immortality is being physically alive. And people that embrace life in that fashion are like animals. They are happy and when they die they dont expect it so they dont fear death itself, but the danger in view.
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND

Maybe if our perception of time changed we could live forever in an instant.

good thought and if you think of life as one giant organism how can it rebiuld itself better and stronger if the old ones dont die. this is evolution. this also works in socialogical and mental terms if we didnt die the world would be run by old assholes who think elvis is evil for shaking his hips we need death to grow and to learn as a species.

As every single man and woman ever born before say 1870 has died, then your belief is totally baseless and demonstrates zero understanding of cell replication and basic biology.

Come now? If what OregoneConclusion said was how it is/was.. Then every single man and woman ever born before say 1870, has accepted death (from old age), or that death can happen.
Why do some species grow way past 100 years, when others only live for months? Intent, will, possibilities, etcetera, I would say play a large role in all of this..
