  I've done both of those, actually. More often than not I know what our intentions are and where we are in the relationship [acquaintances, friends, prospects, etc] - I'm just getting frustrated meeting women that I have perfect chemistry with and are taken. You guys went off on sort of a tangent, though it was definitely an interesting perspective [the non-exclusive relationship idea]. I have no problem being assertive with women, but I like to be smooth about things rather than blurting out some remark like, "SO ARE YOU TAKEN OR AM I WASTING MY TIME?!" Instead I try and take cues or pickup on hints they drop about their relationship status. Sometimes, I miss those cues, and am left feeling fucked that such good chemistry and intimacy is pushed to the side for what is, usually, an asshole boyfriend that cheats on them, treats them like shit, etc. Nice guys finish last right?

Right, then you have a completely different idea of what chemistry is than I do. People can "get along" and respect eachothers differences, but when you find someone you have everything in common with, in my mind, you have good chemistry. I can get along with a lot of girls, that doesn't mean we'd make a good couple.
