now this one im only guessing on...I dont know the name of the contam...Ive seen it in the wild its a rather cool contam once its taken over.....once this has happend it looks like a shroom you would expect to see in the artic regin :smile:

P.S. -- If that is a contam, and I don't see any more of it on any other shrooms, couldn't I just cut that area of the stem off and throw it away, and salvage the shroom? And, although it might be cool to look at, damnit, I'm not growing these to look at. (c:

Thank you :smile: Im just doing my part in answering what I feel I can answer. I dont even know if it is harmful to humans (if it really is a contam) and I sure as hell dont know how to control or stop it. I will tell ya what though, I will see if I cant tract this contam down in one of my books and see what I come up with, maybe then I can fully answer this question....look for another post shortly!

well, I cant find it in the TMC (the mushroom cultivator) I know I have a book somewhere, I think its a feild guide but Im not sure and I cant find them damn books! Lets see if anyone else can see what the hell the name of this shit it! If I find that damn book with the pic in it I can tell you the name of it at least....I will keep lookin though.

...I don`t think it`s a contamination, if it has the same white colour as the mycelium it is good if not it a contam...I have white mycelium growing out off the base of the stem often I guess that it`s normal :smile:

Yeah, actually, it's cottony white .. I figured this when I noticed the mycelium on the stems of another shroom .. this was fluffier so it struck me that it was mycelium and not an infection. Now I need a humidifier, because obviously my hand sprayer isn't working.... Although I spray avg. 4 times a day. Hmmm....
