Some of my strongest trips have been off SPENT cakes. Old blue ones that are nice and small with only a few aborts after their third flush.

Two cakes chopped into pieces, boiled 10 minutes trips me out every time. However, I've tried relatively new cakes several times and only got a buzz. I think spent ones are what make it work

Vegetative mycelium is probably equally potent to the fruit bodies it produces. Mushrooms are just compressed mycelium, even part of the mushrooms from the cap to the stem to the gills is produced from differentiation of cells from the mycelium, kind of reminds me of the killer liquid robot from terminator two, judgement day.
