Global Warming

By catastrophic I mean cities flooded, hundreds of millions (or even billions) of deaths and all that kind of stuff.
Are catastrophic results from global warming unavoidable at this point?

It stands for SirTokesALot, a user who insisted that there be an option in every poll for people to choose in the case that they don't have an answer, but still want to see the results, without ruining the integrity of the poll by choosing an answer arbitrarily.

I of all people should know better, but I am guilty of that in my "¿Quien es Mas Macho?" polls, but I felt it was necessary to force a vote there; for people to take a stand. well, something like 99% of the greenhouse effect is caused by water vapor, and we have absolutely no control over that. we're only in control of like 1% of it from all the fossil fuels. i think i remember hearing that over the next 25 years we may account for around 1 degree of temperature change.

i'm all about the environment, but i just dont know about global warming. i think people are kind of jumping on the bandwagon about this cause. maybe i'm wrong though. i guess all we can do is see what happens.

has it actually been proven correct, or has it just been declared plausible?

regardless of the existence or nonexistence of global warming, i think it's just fucking retarded for us not to tread lightly anyways. even if global warming is bunk, we should still take the precautions involving cleaner air and whatnot. it's just common courtesy for the world we live on, and the generations we're leaving it to. not to mention the lives and ecosystems that were here long before we modernized and built destructive civilizations

It was proven correct huh? That type of answer displays that climate alarmists don't really think too much about science, what it is and is not capable of. They are more interested in "the message", and they don't need to back it up because there is already "an overwhelming consensus", "The IPCC issued a report" and "The debate is over." Sound familiar?

Would you like to explain how the theory that "CO2 introduced into the atmosphere by man has already caused specific events and will cause certain evens in the future" has been proven? Or you can start by explaining how such a hypothesis is even testable.

Dude, they can measure CO2 in the atmosphere. They've established that it holds heat in the earth's climate. The polar icecaps are fucking melting! It's good to ask if something can be proven and tested and so on. I'm glad your professors taught you that but it gets to a point of being silly. You sound like a little kid who keeps asking why why why.
