This is a great thread . . . by far the best I've read here so far during my short stay, and even one of my favorite threads I've ever read anywhere.  I've always wanted to try LSD, and I might even have a decent source soonish, but I'm still too young to be taking thumbprints, or anything over 200 ugs :P  It doesn't exactly sound like the type of thing you can do at night and keep quiet enough that your parents don't notice

(not cheapening it or anything, just joking around; I know it sounds extremely intense, I want to experience death a little bit before I die)

Chinacat - you have my utmost respect, as does anyone who has gone through something like that.

Chinacat or Whiterasta...are there still people who get to do a thumbprint and join the family nowadays? Does the family still distribute acid? This whole family thing really interests me. I knew there were still "hippies" around but I found it very interesting to read all of this.

Chinacat comes by now and then, even if he doesn't post.

God, I would love to do a thumbprint sometime in my life, but I definitely don't feel ready yet, and apparently some forum troll has described me as "the posterchild for people who shouldn't do psychedelics." Whatever. I still have it on my list of things to do before I die.

so after all this time, how's he doing then?

He seemed like he was recovering well from it. IT must be at least 3 years since that happened hey?

I just want to say that after reading countless pages of this post... I'm crying in real life.

The stories that everyone shared are so moving that they are even affecting me. LSD is a gift from god... truly we live in a wounder full world with beauty and color. We can all see it!

As far as thumbprints today I have been out of the loop for many yrs so I could not say if it is still the 'rite of passage" I suspect not since the support system is gone as well as plentiful and cheap acid. The only one I witnessed recently was several yrs ago a woman dosed a 1/10th but then was left to her own devices and I spotted her wandering the next day many miles from the festival and had to send her people to fetch her. In my day no one got printed unless there was folks to babysit and help reintegrate into reality. I just do not see the same support system about any more. I think a puddle is the best folks really get any more.

Thank you, whiterasta and Chinacat, your posts at the beginning of this thread were truly incredible, I cannot adequately describe in words the effect that your posts had on me.

In a nutshell, both of you gave me deep spiritual insights, and as I am heading to university for psychology and anthropology, you both gave me motivation which I will use to fuel my interest in the mind, in humanity, and most of all, into psychedelics.

Thank you. :mushroom2:

This is the greatest thread I have ever read in my entire life! I don't know what i would do if I where in a position to be offered such an amount of cid at one time, as a thumbprint would be. Man... to only think of it blows my mind. I know that i wont ever be in that position, but then its great to be able to read about it, from someone who have actually tried it. Unbelievable
