P. baeocystis and P. cyanescens
    #6273277 -

Here is my find from the Seattle area, today. I went hunting all day for a new patch, hoping to find DH's shit hehehe.

Needless to say I failed to find his patch, but found a very small patch of P. cyanescens in the greater Seattle area.

Here's the cyans:

And here are some baeos I found about a week ago:

I saw a post of baeos very early this season, but I forget from whom.

Yeah, baeos are more rarely reported than the other potent Psilocybes.

I've found two patches; each hundreds of miles from the other. Both patches yeilded lots of fruits. The patch down the road was incredible last year. This year those two are the only fruiting bodies I found. I may go back soon to check out the patch again, but I'm not too certain I'll find much more. In the same area, last year, I found a few small patches of P. stunzii as well.

Later, and thanks for the props.

I made some baeo tea last year and tripped balls. I ended up in the fetus position on a futon with the blankets wrapped around my face. Felt like I was on a ship in a storm. Very freaky, but I guess that belongs in the trip threads.

Two types of baeo fruitings, I always noitced...
Smaller, more delicate fruiting in grass in early season, same time you get the stunzii... then the thicker, wood-loving varities seem to came slightly later in the season.
Anyone else ever notice that?

They're harder to find because they are so often solitary growers.
Thats what I think.

In some areas they seem to grow more solitary, but I have found them in rather large clusters.

I will say they are also much more difficult to spot. They seem to blend in better with dead leaves and such, alond with their somewhat smaller size relative to other common Psilocybes.

I have repeatedly stared right into a cluster of beaos and not notice their presence until moments later more often than cayns or even liberty caps.

You lucky bastard.

Oh, btw- it is "fetal position".

Hehehehe, i've had fellow hunters say I got a sharp eye.  Can't remember ever staring at a patch of mushrooms and not seeing them.  Maybe you should wear glasses.

Mattso, I have noticed in non Psilocybe mushrooms that colonize both grass area and wood chips, that the wood chip variety tends to be bulkier.

Psiclops, do you print the less common Psilocybes you find?  Such as the beaos?

I think I have nearby somewhere a sheet with mixed prints, possibly containing baeocystis.

Pm me for prints. I can make more.
